  • Patent number: 4402519
Abstract: A quick-connect tooling system for releasably locking a tool to a spindle. The tooling system includes a rotatable collar mounted on the spindle and having a chordal through bore aligned with a U-shaped chordal transverse groove in the end of the spindle intersecting the axial bore thereof. A manually operable lock is received in the collar bore and spindle U-shaped groove so as to intersect a recess in the tool holder provided adjacent the inner end thereof so as to provide locking shoulders engaging a locking shoulder on the tool holder in retaining the tool holder in the tooling system. Additional shoulders are provided on the lock and spindle for retaining the lock in a released position for facilitating the insertion and removal of the tool holder relative to the spindle. The system is arranged so as to engage the retaining shoulders as an incident of urging of the lock to the release position, the collar being concurrently rotated to permit such disposition of the retaining shoulders.

  • Patent number: 3978752
Abstract: An intermittent perforator wheel structure for providing a tearing edge in a workpiece sheet. The tearing edge is defined by a line of spaced elongated slits and a line of spaced short perforation slits offset from the line of elongated slits. The offset is made to be a small preselected amount. The offset may be preselected to assure that the torn portions of the sheet provided by the spaces between the short slits do not extend beyond the line of elongated slits whereby the edge of the sheet seen by a data processing machine, or the like, into which the sheet may be fed comprises a smooth edge with the torn portions being recessed within the straight smooth edge.

  • Patent number: 3978753
Abstract: An adjustable perforator wheel for use in providing a tear line in a sheet-type workpiece. The perforator wheel includes a pair of slotted wheels which are adjustably related to define a preselected smaller slot between elongated slitting portions of the wheel. The slots in the respective first and second wheels may be of relatively large size for facilitated manufacture with the resultant small slot being of extremely small size as desired.
