  • Publication number: 20060052573
Abstract: The invention provides innovative blocked polyisocyanates whose crosslinking is initiated thermally and photochemically. The polyisocyanates comprise at least one thermally reversibly blocked NCO group whose blocking agent contains at least one group which on exposure to actinic radiation reacts, with polymerization, with ethylenically unsaturated compounds. A process for preparing the polyisocyanates, and their use in binders, is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050170185
Abstract: Powder coating binders having a glass temperature of ?35° C. containing at least one polymer and one or more radiation-curing reactive thinners, a process for the production of these powder coating binders and their use as a component of powder coatings.

  • Publication number: 20050080174
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel radiation-curing powder coating binders containing maleic and/or fumaric acid esters and one or more amorphous or partially crystalline resins containing at least one group that reacts with ethylenically unsaturated compounds under the action of actinic radiation to form a polymer. The binders have a glass transition temperature ranging from 30 to 90° C. The binders can be used as a constituent in coating compositions.

  • Publication number: 20050014907
Abstract: A process for the solventless preparation of ethylenically unsaturated polyurethanes. The process includes preparing a prepolymer from an isocyanate-containing component A) and an isocyanate-reactive component B) in a batch reaction, and reacting the prepolymer with a further component C) in a second, continuous reaction to provide a polyurethane, where at least one of the components A, B and C have ethylenically unsaturated groups.

  • Publication number: 20040068081
Abstract: The present invention concerns a process for producing low-viscosity polyisocyanates or secondary products thereof, which carry activated, radiation-curable double bonds and can optionally also cure thermally, and low-viscosity polyisocyanate mixtures or secondary products thereof and their use in coating compounds.

  • Publication number: 20030134125
Abstract: The present invention relates to powder coating binders containing polyurethanes having (meth)acryloyl groups which are applied onto a substrate, fused with heat and cured by electromagnetic radiation and to a process for preparing the same.

  • Publication number: 20030050390
Abstract: The invention relates to new, low viscosity radiation-hardenable urethane acrylates prepared from oxalkylated polyols with 25 to 75 mole % of a polyol having a degree of oxalkylation between 3 and 5 and 75 to 25 mole % of a polyol having a degree of oxalkylation between 8 and 25, the resulting coatings having improved abrasion resistance, as well as their use as coating compositions, in particular for flooring materials.
