    Abstract: A cleaning and lubricating apparatus for a dental handpiece or other device includes a handpiece mounting base having a handpiece mounting structure; a lubricant reservoir; a compressed air chamber; a compressed air source connection structure in fluid communication with the compressed air chamber and with the lubricant reservoir; a valve pin and a valve pin slide passageway extending from a slide passageway opening in the mounting base to the air chamber and slidably containing the valve pin so that the valve pin has a valve pin exposed end extending outwardly from the mounting base and the valve pin a valve pin inward end and has a lateral lubricant delivery depression and is fitted with at least one sealing structure positioned at the point along the valve pin at which the slide passageway meets the air chamber; a lubricant deposit passageway extending between the lubricant reservoir and the slide passageway for delivering lubricant into the lubricant delivery depression.
