    Abstract: A method for producing a fire protection glazing including at least two flat substrates and a fire protection element, preferably transparent, including at least one film or a film system which includes at least one intumescent layer and is disposed between the substrates. Several segments of the film of the fire protection element are applied to a first substrate, wherein the film segments cover the entire surface of the substrate which is provided with a fire protection element. Afterwards a second substrate is arranged on the first substrate including the film segments and is exposed to a high pressure and high temperature binding treatment which can be carried out, for example in an antoclave.
