  • Publication number: 20240328231
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a door opener for an electrical appliance of household equipment. The door opener comprises an electric motor and a pusher drivable by means of the electric motor for pressing co-operation with the door of the electrical appliance. A power transmission mechanism is provided between the electric motor and the pusher, which is capable of ensuring a variable effective velocity of the pusher at the same rotational frequency of the electric motor. Certain embodiments provide for a multi-stage rack and pinion gear for this purpose, which is formed by a gear rim and a toothed rack, which can transmit the driving force of the electric motor to the pusher via various gear pairings that can be brought alternately into meshing engagement with one another.
