  • Publication number: 20210393161
Abstract: A module for an oscillometry system of the type having an oscillatory flow source, the module comprises an enclosure adapted to be releasably connected to a core assembly of the oscillometry system. The enclosure defines a breathing flow pathway adapted to be in fluid communication with the oscillatory flow source. A user port is at a first end of the breathing flow pathway configured for receiving a breath of a user. A calibration file specific to the module is programmed as a function of the breathing flow pathway and configured for being used by the oscillometry system to assess breathing parameters for the user.

  • Publication number: 20210259578
Abstract: An oscillometry device comprises a casing. A user portion forms a conduit entering into the casing, the conduit adapted to receive a breath of a user and, an oscillometry measurement system operatively connected to the conduit in the casing and adapted to produce oscillometry measurement signals from the breath of the user. A user support interface projects from the casing in a common direction with the user portion, the user support interface vertically supporting the oscillometry device relative to a user when the user has his or her mouth on the user portion, the user support interface being made of a flexible deformable material.

  • Publication number: 20120283592
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lung function assessment system, a mechanical ventilator and method that allows simultaneously measurements of lung function and provides simultaneously mechanical ventilation to multiple subjects requiring one source of gas.

  • Publication number: 20100234751
Abstract: A modular kit of complementary plethysmographic apparatus components including at least one tube, at least one termination device for closing an open extremity of the tube and first and second complementary coupling mechanisms formed on the tube and the termination device. The coupling mechanisms are adapted to provide sealing engagement between the tube and the termination device. The first and second complementary coupling mechanisms comprise a notched interface component adapted to fit into a corresponding mating gap component, such that a rotation of the two components with respect to each other, solidly locks the two components together while applying pressure onto a face seal between the two components.

  • Patent number: 6082357
Abstract: A mechanical ventilator for ventilating a patient employs an air displacement member mounted for oscillating motion in a chamber; preferably the chamber is semi-cylindrical and the air displacement member is a vane mounted for oscillating movement about an axis of rotation such that a free outer edge surface of the vane is maintained in closely spaced apart relationship with the interior wall of the chamber throughout the oscillating; the ventilator permits significant variation in the ventilation flow waveform.
