  • Publication number: 20190282994
Abstract: A sorbent precursor is described comprising agglomerates of an inert particulate support material, the agglomerates being bound together with a binder comprising cement and/or clay, said binder being characterized as an agglomerate binder, wherein (a) the agglomerates are coated with a surface layer coating comprising a particulate copper compound and one or more coating binders, and (b) the surface layer has a thickness in a range of from 1 to 1000 ?m. The sorbent precursor may be sulphided to prepare a sorbent for removing heavy metals from fluid streams.

  • Patent number: 10343137
Abstract: A method for preparing a sorbent precursor, which may be sulphided and used to remove heavy metals such as mercury from fluid streams, includes the steps of: (i) mixing together an inert particulate support material and one or more binders to form a support mixture, (ii) shaping the support mixture by granulation in a granulator to form agglomerates, (iii) coating the agglomerates with a coating mixture powder including a particulate copper compound and one or more binders to form a coated agglomerate, and (iv) drying the coated agglomerate to form a dried sorbent precursor.

  • Patent number: 10249994
Abstract: A plurality of contacts form a plurality of differential pairs between adjacent contacts of the plurality of contacts. Contact portions of contacts of the plurality of contacts forming each of at least three differential pairs of the plurality of differential pairs are located in a vertical direction at positions at one side in the vertical direction in a plane orthogonal to the axial direction. Also, the at least three differential pairs are arranged in parallel to one another in a state separated from one another by equal distances in a horizontal direction in the orthogonal plane. Contact portions of contacts of the plurality of contacts forming another differential pair other than the at least three differential pairs are located in the horizontal direction at positions at the other side in the vertical direction in the orthogonal plane.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20060231971
Abstract: A method of forming a vial, preferably for use in a level, is disclosed. The method comprises providing a cylinder formed from a first material having an inner surface defining a cavity and an outer surface, molding a second material around and onto the outer surface to form an overmolded body, and machining the inner surface of the body formed to arrive at a cavity having a desired shape. A bubble can then be positioned in the cavity by partially filling it with a liquid. In certain embodiments, the method includes positioning at least one marker ring or indicia on the outer surface prior to the molding step so that the ring/indicia is enclosed between the cylinder and second material. The marker ring or the indicia so positioned will preferably not penetrate the inner surface so that movement of the bubble within the cavity is unimpeded.

  • Publication number: 20050229413
Abstract: A vial, level including such vial, and method of using such level are disclosed. The vial comprises a body having first and second ends, a midpoint, and interior and exterior surfaces, at least one marker ring connected with respect to the body, a bubble positioned in the cavity and defined by an interface, and first and second dark-colored bands circumscribing the cavity. The vial enhances the visibility of the bubble through the reflection of the first and second bands on the interface such that the interface along the perimeter of the bubble appears dark-colored.
