Abstract: The present application is directed to embodiments of a flooded battery vent cap. The vent cap may include an internal vent well and an external mounting flange. The internal vent well may be comprised of a hollow cylindrical tube sized to accept a watering gun nozzle therein. The internal vent well may include a variety of elements that limit an insertion depth of the watering gun nozzle. In one embodiment, the internal vent well may comprise at least a first section and a second section.
