Publication number: 20240394785Abstract: A system includes location indicators, a central computing system, and a mobile scanning device. The location indicators transmit location signals and are arranged in a store that includes stocked items. The central computing system stores an item association table that maps location values to the stocked items. The location values indicate locations of the stocked items in the store. The mobile scanning device receives ordered items from the central computing system, detects location signal(s), and determines a first location value based on the detected location signal(s). The mobile scanning device arranges the ordered items on a display based on the first location value, scans a first ordered item, and transmits data to the central computing system indicating that the first ordered item is associated with the first location value. The central computing system updates the item association table based on the data.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 6, 2024Publication date: November 28, 2024Inventor: Thomas Francis

Publication number: 20240330299Abstract: An interwoven approximate membership query (AMQ) data structure interweaves multiple AMQ data sets. The interwoven AMQ data structure collapses the AMQ data sets into a composite membership representation. The interwoven AMQ data structure still represents a computer database, but the interwoven AMQ data structure yields far faster membership results. The interwoven AMQ data structure requires orders of magnitude less data reads. Memory allocation is reduced, processor cycles are reduced, input/output operations are reduced, and translations from kernel space to user space are reduced. The interwoven AMQ data structure greatly improves computer functioning.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2023Publication date: October 3, 2024Applicant: CrowdStrike, Inc.Inventor: Thomas Francis Lyons

Publication number: 20240330726Abstract: An array of quantum dot qubits (e.g., an array of spin qubits) relies on a gradient magnetic field to ensure that the qubits are separated in frequency in order to be individually addressable. Furthermore, a strong magnetic field gradient is required to electrically drive the electric dipole spin resonance (EDSR) of the qubits. Quantum dot devices disclosed herein use microcoil arrangements for providing a gradient magnetic field, the microcoil arrangements integrated on the same chip (e.g., on the same die or wafer) as quantum dot qubits themselves. Unlike previous approaches to quantum dot formation and manipulation, various embodiments of the quantum dot devices disclosed herein may enable improved control over magnetic fields and their gradients to realize better frequency targeting of individual qubits, help minimize adverse effects of charge noise on qubit decoherence and provide good scalability in the number of quantum dots included in the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2024Publication date: October 3, 2024Applicant: Intel CorporationInventors: Florian Luethi, Hubert C.
