  • Patent number: 11575759
Abstract: Techniques for connecting computing devices to a network are described. For example, a computer system receives, from a second device that is associated with an account and connected to a data network, first data indicating an identifier of a first device. The computer system determines that the identifier is unassociated with accounts that include the account. The computer system determines second data associated with the identifier, access to the account, or a device setup request. The computer system determines that the first device is to be associated with the account. The computer system sends, to a third device, third data that causes the third device to output a confirmation request about setting up the first device and receives, from the third device, fourth data indicating a response to the confirmation request. The computer system associates the first device with the account based on the fourth data.

  • Publication number: 20220389414
Abstract: Molecular computer techniques for solving a computational problem using an array of reaction sites, for example, droplets, are disclosed. The problem may be represented as a Hamiltonian in terms of problem variables and problem parameters. The reaction sites may have a physicochemical property mapping to discrete site states corresponding to possible values of the problem variables. In a purely molecular approach, the reaction sites have intra-site and inter-site couplings enforced thereon representing the problem parameters, and the array is allowed to evolve, subjected to the enforced couplings, to a final configuration conveying a solution to the problem. In a hybrid classical-molecular approach, an iterative procedure may be performed that involves feeding read-out site states into a digital computer, determining, based on the problem parameters, perturbations to be applied to the states, and allowing the array to evolve under the perturbations to a final configuration conveying a solution to the problem.

  • Patent number: 9763286
Abstract: A fluid system of an internal combustion engine is provided with a heating device in a heating chamber. An electric heating element of the heating device is arranged between two holding bodies such that the heating element electrically and thermally contacts a contact section of at least one of the holding bodies. The heating chamber has an inner volume region between the holding bodies and at least one outer volume region arranged on an outer side of the holding bodies. The inner and outer volume regions allow fluid to flow through. The inner volume region has an enlarged section with a first spacing measured between the holding bodies. The holding bodies have a second spacing measured in a region of the contact section. The first spacing is greater than the second spacing at least at a circumferential side of the contact section facing the enlarged section.

  • Publication number: 20170241387
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter unit, a filter system (44b) with at least two filter units, and to a motor vehicle with a filter system (44b). A filter bowl (12d-e) of the filter unit is formed by a base and a cover. Embodied in a side wall of the base are at least two access openings to an antechamber or collection chamber (34a-b) in the filter bowl (12d-e). Embodied integrally with the cover is a collection line segment or supply segment (26d-e) that leads from a clean chamber or an unfiltered side antechamber in the filter bowl (12d-e) to at least two open ends (28l). The inventive filter system (44b) has at least two inventive filter units, and fluid may flow through their filter elements (30, 30a-d), which are switched in parallel. The invention facilitates the space-saving arrangement of filter units and filter systems (44b) in constricted and/or complexly shaped installation spaces, especially in motor vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20170241388
Abstract: A filter assembly for a fluid to be filtered, in particular fuel or oil, has a filter housing having a housing lower part that is configured as a single piece and has at least one fluid inlet for the fluid to be filtered and a plurality of filter pots that are arranged next to one another side by side in a shared plane and are fluidically connected to one another via side wall passages An upper housing part closes the filter pots and has a fluid manifold that has at least one fluid outlet for the filtered fluid flowing out from the filter pots. At least two filter elements, one being arranged in each of the filter pots of the filter housing. The filter assembly is a more inexpensively-manufactured and as configured for installation even in confined installation spaces, so as to accommodate a sufficiently large filter surface for a predetermined volume flow of a fluid to be filtered.
