  • Patent number: 9856904
Abstract: The invention relates to a shielding device with a shielding element and at least one fastening eyelet for fastening the shielding device to a counterpart fastening piece and for receiving a fastening element. The fastening eyelet is movably supported in a fastening opening of the shielding device. The fastening eyelet is supported by a resiliently embodied coupling device so that the fastening eyelet is resiliently supported relative to the shielding element in an axial direction and is movable in the fastening opening relative to the shielding element in at least one radial direction when acted on with friction force. To produce friction force, radially outer regions of the coupling device cooperate in a resiliently prestressed fashion with sliding zones of opposing outsides of the shielding element.

  • Publication number: 20070216109
Abstract: Gasket for an engine exhaust gas-driven turbochager includes a gasket plate having at least one metallic gasket layer, an exhaust gas opening, at least one sealing bead deformable in height surrounding the exhaust gas opening, and at least one deformation limiting element adjacent the sealing bead and having a height profile so formed prior to installation of the gasket as to vary around the exhaust gas opening in manner to maintain a sufficient gasket sealing function at the very high temperatures of 800 degrees C. and above experienced by the gasket during operation of the turbocharger. The sealing bead and the deformation limiting element can be formed on the same metallic gasket layer for a single layer gasket or on different metallic gasket layers for a multi-layer gasket.

  • Patent number: 6976683
Abstract: A cylinder head gasket comprising a gasket plate for an engine in which at least one first coolant cavity is formed in the engine block adjacent to the cylinder head gasket, with the gasket plate comprising coolant passage openings via which the first coolant cavity is connectable to at least one second coolant cavity formed in the cylinder head of the engine; for improved cooling of the engine the cylinder head gasket comprises at least one flow conducting element for the coolant protruding from the gasket plate, the at least one flow conducting element being of such configuration and being joined to a coolant passage opening of the gasket plate in such a way that the flow conducting element forms a flow path with the coolant passage opening and is designed so as to engage in at least one of the first and second coolant cavities and to generate a directed flow of coolant at the outlet end of the flow path.
