  • Patent number: 8834798
Abstract: There is provided an analysis device comprising a gas phase and a liquid phase and at least one sensor, said sensor having at least one point where an analyte is detected, said at least point being in contact with the liquid phase, characterized in that the device comprises a membrane with a first and a second side, which membrane is in contact with the gas phase on at least a part of one side of the membrane and which membrane is in contact with the liquid phase on at least a part of the other side of the membrane, wherein the membrane comprises openings, and wherein the largest possible distance between any two openings in the membrane is larger than the distance between the membrane and the point where an analyte is detected, moreover there is provided a method for analyzing an analyte in a gas phase.

  • Publication number: 20130000420
Abstract: A method for simultaneously merging suspended particles and/or cells in a plurality of discrete microwells, each of said microwells having at least a bottom wall and lateral walls, wherein a multifrequency or broadband acoustic wave including at least two different frequencies is applied to an inner volume of each of said microwells, the frequencies of said acoustic wave being selected to generate a standing and/or stationary wave in said volume; a device for simultaneously merging suspended particles and/or cells in a plurality of discrete microwells, including: a substrate with a plurality of discrete microwells, each of said microwells having at least a bottom wall and lateral walls; and one or more acoustic transducer(s), configured for applying a multifrequency or broadband acoustic wave, including at least two different frequencies, to an inner volume of each of said microwells.

  • Publication number: 20120302462
Abstract: A system and a methodology are provided with a broad range of application in immune diagnostic screening and therapy and specifically for predicting the risk of graft versus host disease (GVHD) and/or graft versus leukemia (GVL) effects prior to transplantation. The method includes the steps of incubating single T or NK cells with a few, usually three to five target cells for extended period of times and evaluating the cell contact-dependent lytic activity or activation of the single effector cells within larger populations. The results obtained are analyzed by proprietary software for automated image analysis and compared with patient data comprised in a comprehensive database containing accumulated empirical and clinical information on donor-recipient screening results and patient information.
