  • Patent number: 11936415
Abstract: An air interface plane (AIP) of a radio frequency (RF) aperture includes: a circuit board having a first side and a second side opposite the first side; and a matrix of tapered elements arranged on the first side of the circuit board and secured to the circuit board, the matrix of tapered elements cooperating to at least one of receive or transmit an over-the-air RF signal. Suitably, each tapered element of the matrix has: a central hub extending along a longitudinal axis from a hub base which is proximate to the first side of the circuit board to an apex of the tapered element which is distal from the first side of the first circuit board; and a plurality of arms extending from the central hub at the apex of the tapered element, each of the plurality of arms including a first portion that projects the arm radially away from the longitudinal axis and a second portion that projects the arm longitudinally toward the first side of the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 5556036
Abstract: An adjustable arc sprinkler nozzle comprises a first body member having a through passage including an inlet end for attachment to a source of pressurized water and an outlet end having a first spiral edge having axially offset ends, a second body member mounted coaxially of and rotatable relative to the first body member and a second spiral edge positioned for selectively overlapping the first spiral edge for defining a selectively adjustable arcuate outlet orifice, the outlet orifice having a predetermined height and an adjustable width, and diameter first and second spiral edges teeth forming one of the first and second spiral edges for maximizing the predetermined height relative to the width.

  • Patent number: 4317265
Abstract: Electrically conductive elastomers are prepared by adding polyfunctional tertiary amine compounds to halogenated polymers. The resulting elastomers have resistivities in the range that makes them suitable as conductors for many electrical and electrostatic applications. These ranges are generally in the area of 1.times.10.sup.3 to 1.times.10.sup.7 ohm cm as measured by the methods of ASTM 257. A preferred elastomer is prepared by adding a polyfunctional tertiary amine such as N,N,N',N' tetramethyl-1,3-butanediamine to polychloroprene prior to vulcanizing under conventional vulcanization conditions. The resulting elastomers possess useful electrical conductivity, as well as the desirable physical and chemical properties of conventional elastomers. A roller for current-assisted printing or electrostatic-assisted printing having an external surface layer comprised of the novel electrically conductive elastomer is described.
