    Abstract: A screen enclosure frame component assembly, specifically a base component. The base component comprises an upper element and a lower element. The upper element comprises a groove to retain a spline at an edge of screen material and protrusion adapted to clip onto tabs of the lower element. The lower element further comprises a recessed channel disposed on an intermediate floor and a set of inner legs extending downward from a floor of the recessed channel. The recessed channel allows a fastener to secure the lower element to a supporting surface a lower elevation, thereby providing superior support.
