  • Publication number: 20100079291
Abstract: A weight management system comprised of a body worn device which interfaces periodically with a computer. The established weight goals of the user are translated by the computer into daily activity targets and downloaded into the device. The device monitors the user's activity, offering progress status toward the daily activity target. Further, the device alerts the user of excessive sedentary periods which depress metabolic indicators. The activity targets, allowed length of sedentary periods and suggested activities to reach goal are specific to the individual based on their biometrics and living environment. The computer provides historical tracking of activity for motivational and coaching purposes.

  • Patent number: 5122267
Abstract: A chamber having side walls, a bottom wall and a top wall having an aperture includes a fluid inlet aperture and a fluid outlet aperture. The chamber includes a bottom baffle disposed within the chamber and adjacent to the bottom wall for dividing the chamber into first and second areas. The bottom baffle includes an aperture for providing a fluid communication path between the chamber first and second areas. A side baffle is disposed within the chamber and adjacent to the side wall containing the fluid outlet aperture. The baffle is disposed generally perpendicular to the bottom baffle for creating a fluid communication path from the chamber second area to the chamber fluid outlet aperture for discharging liquid free of particles of foreign matter from the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5108594
Abstract: An aquarium trickle filter for filtering aquarium water includes a housing. The housing includes an inlet for prefiltered aquarium water and an outlet for filtered aquarium water. Disposed within the housing is a chamber including filter elements. A drip tray having a top surface and edges is disposed adjacent the chamber to form a cover for the chamber. The drip tray top surface includes a plurality of grooves which include a plurality of apertures for allowing prefiltered aquarium water to enter the chamber and be uniformly dispersed over the filter elements. A channel is disposed adjacent to the chamber and in fluid communication with an aquarium. The channel is further disposed adjacent to a side wall of the housing. The channel includes an inlet and an outlet. Structure is disposed adjacent to the channel outlet for directing prefiltered aquarium water from the channel to the edges of the drip tray.
