  • Publication number: 20110253731
Abstract: An annular attachment device is provided that is adapted to engage the threads of a threaded container and provide a connection point for the threaded container. In such an arrangement, the threads of a container may be placed through a center aperture in the attachment device. By threading a lid onto the container, the annular attachment device may be trapped between the container and its lid. An aperture or hook on an outer surface of the annular attachment device allows the device and a supported container to be tethered to a desired location.

  • Patent number: 6564225
Abstract: A method and apparatus for securely archiving, searching, and retrieving images from a centralized image location are provided. Along with the goal of protecting a major corporate asset from theft and damage with the passage of time, the present invention provides an economical way for users from different divisions to share previously produced images and composites. Furthermore, by utilizing ultra-high resolution scanning in the archival process, re-creation of images that are of substantially the same quality as the original is achieved. Thus, ultra-high scanning allows re-creation of images that are photo-quality acceptable for commercial use in magazines, video packaging, movie posters, etc. With a centralized system of storage and distribution of images, it is possible for users to take advantage of a single and comprehensive catalog/index of all content. By using pre-defined image content criteria, users locate, select, and retrieve particular images stored in the system.

  • Publication number: 20010045978
Abstract: A portable personal wireless interactive video device including a miniature camera, a portable wireless transmitter connected to the camera, a portable wireless receiver for receiving video signals from the transmitter, and a portable video display device connected to the receiver for presenting an image to a viewer corresponding to a view from the perspective of the camera. The viewer may select an image for display on the video display device corresponding to a view from his/her own camera, from a camera worn by another person, or from one of several cameras positioned in selected locations. In one embodiment, the camera may be located within a remotely controlled model vehicle, thereby providing the viewer with a view from the perspective of inside the vehicle for viewing while remotely controlling the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6040927
Abstract: Different print quality modes in a printer such as a color inkjet printer invoke different print rendering options for a particular object to be printed. In an exemplary embodiment, a printer control automatically invokes an error diffusion haltoning technique for photo images whenever high quality mode is designated, and automatically invokes a dither haltoning technique for photo images whenever a normal or fast print mode is designated.

  • Patent number: 5977426
Abstract: A method for recovering crystalline 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene comprising crystallizing in a scraped-wall crystallizer apparatus at crystallization temperature T, a mixture of low melting components, LM, having melting points of 70.degree. F. and below, and high melting components (HM), including 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene, having melting points above 70.degree. F, such that: ##EQU1## where HM is the total weight percent of high melting components, including 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene, in the mixture, and LM is the total weight percent of low melting components in the mixture, and where T is the temperature of the crystallization in degrees Fahrenheit, and where A is at least 1.0.

  • Patent number: 5704021
Abstract: A method of using a printer system for identifying one or more different types of color objects in a document, selecting a preferred rendering option such as halftoning and/or color matching for each one of such different color object types, respectively, and then printing the document in accordance with the rendering options selected for each of such different color object types. In a printing system such as an inkjet color printer coupled through a printer driver to a host computer, a default halftoning technique and a default color-matching map are incorporated into the printer system for automatic invocation whenever a particular color object type is printed.
