  • Patent number: 12208538
Abstract: A shotcrete nozzle assembly comprising: a tubular body including a body sidewall defining a central passageway extending along a central longitudinal passageway axis, and water dispensing bores extending through the body sidewall and including: first and second sets of water dispensing bores positioned such that outlet openings thereof defined in an inner face of the body sidewall are disposed in a respective one of longitudinally spaced-apart first and second transversal planes extending perpendicularly to the passageway axis, at least some of the water dispensing bores being oriented such that the central bore axes thereof extend in a non-radial direction relative to the passageway axis, and such that an orthogonal projection of the central bore axes of the first and second sets of water dispensing bores onto one of the transversal planes forms first and second projected central bore axes which intersect each other at a first non-zero angle.

  • Patent number: 8297171
Abstract: Improvements in a torque limiter that uses a plurality of ball bearings that are retained in a cage. The ball bearings are compressed to create frictional drag on opposing flat plate surfaces. In some military vehicles the gun turret is rotated by personnel turning a crank that rotates the turret. The crank rotates a pinion or chain that turns the rack of the turret. When the turret does not move freely the personnel will typically apply more force that results in damaging the pinion, chain and or the rack. The torque limiter for a gun turret in this application connects between the crank and the drive train to allow the crank to turn without applying excessive torque forces on the pinion, chain and or the rack.

  • Patent number: 5517777
Abstract: A deck of playing cards with a changing message provided on the edge thereof. In the preferred embodiment, the cards are tapered with a portion of the cards having a first set of letters provided on the edge thereof and with the remaining portion of the cards having a second set of letters on the edge thereof. A first message is provided when the first set of letters are adjacent the second set of letters whereas a second message is provided when the two sets are positioned apart. In an alternate embodiment, the first portion of cards have a narrow width whereas the second portion of cards have a wide width.
