  • Patent number: 8171671
Abstract: The invention relates to an access lock for cyclically permitting people to pass through. The access lock has at least two locking elements (12, 14), with each of the locking elements (12, 14) being movable, independently of the respective other locking element (14, 12), on a closed path between a locked position which locks the passage at a locking point and an open position which opens the passage.

  • Patent number: 5471795
Abstract: A method of operating a turnstile gate for the purpose of controlling human thoroughfare. A thoroughfare-obstructing structure rotates around a fixed axis and has thoroughfare-obstructing means extending out of it and separated by equal angles. The thoroughfare-obstructing means can be shifted out of their usual state, the operational state, into a non-operational state, as the thoroughfare-obstructing structure rotates. The thoroughfare-obstructing means revolve out of a thoroughfare-obstructing position and into a thoroughfare unobstructing position. Another arm revolves into the thoroughfare-obstructing position whenever the arm directly downstream of it revolves out of the thoroughfare-obstructing position and into the thoroughfare unobstructing position.

  • Patent number: 5444941
Abstract: A mantrap in which a demarcation in shape of a segment of an arc is provided at one side of a passage. The open side of the demarcation faces the other side of the passage. The demarcation extends, furthermore, along a predetermined angle of circumference and has a barrier element that rotates around a vertical axis positioned approximately in the center of the demarcation and is provided with leaves extending out from the vertical axis of rotation and including equal angles. The leaves have grating rods positioned separately and one above another. A barrier rake extends out from an axis of the barrier element to the other side of the passage, and has grating rods displaced in position from the grating rods in the leaves and one above another. The barrier-rake rods allow unimpeded rotation of the barrier element. The barrier rake, furthermore, is a gate element, and the barrier element is a rotating door with at least two leaves.

  • Patent number: 5159203
Abstract: In safety circuits for braking or arresting devices (7) of flywheel masses or machine parts, especially a revolving door, which are driven by electric motor and can be switched on electrically, in which at least one of two edges moving toward each other is provided with a pressure-sensitive electrical switching member (3) for generating interference signals. Interference signals generated during a disturbance are sent to an electronic control unit (1) and are used, by an electronic switch (8), to switch off the drive motor (10) and/or to switch on a braking or arresting device (7). The movement of the part provided with the movable edge or element is stopped even when the electrical switch (8) of the control unit (1) does not respond correctly in the presence of an interference signal. The reliability of the safety circuit is continuously checked.

  • Patent number: 5146711
Abstract: In a security revolving door is provided (1) with a turnstile (2) rotatably through one passage sector (8) and one blocking sector (9), which turnstile can be turned into a defined resting position. An electronic control unit (28) with peripheral monitoring devices is provided to control a blocking device (14) releasing or blocking the rotation of the turnstile (2). The blocking device (14) consist of the simplest possible, identical individual parts, which can be simply adjusted or readjusted to different cases of application and modes of operation. This is achieved by the blocking device (14) having a blocking member (15) which is connected nonrotatably to the turnstile (2). The blocking member is provided with blocking cams (18, 19, 20), whose number corresponds to the number of the cross wings (4, 5, 6), and is associated with two electromagnetically controllable blocking elements (16, 17).

  • Patent number: 5076013
Abstract: In a security revolving door assembly for persons, comprising one blocking sector (13) and one passage sector (12) or two passage sectors (12), a motor-driven revolving door (10), which can be blocked by means of a braking device controllable by an electronic control unit, is arranged in the door housing. Peripheral identification devices (46, 47) are connected to the electronic control unit. To ensure reliable entry and exit control, blocking, which cannot be overcome at certain angular positions of the revolving door (10), but which always makes it possible to leave the door housing, is provided. This is achieved by means of a blocking disk (23) which is in a rigid rotating connection with the revolving door (10) and has, in a blocking plane, at least one stop face pair (26/1-26/2, 27/1-27/2, 28/1-28/2) with two stop faces (26/1 through 28/2), each acting in one reaction direction.
