For a reduced noise level during data acquisition, provisions are made for at least one electrode (E9) of two mutually adjacently located electrodes (E8, E9) of two different groups (5, 6) to have an additional electrode feed line (15), which is led over the feed cable (7) of the adjacent group (5).

    Abstract: A method for electroimpedance tomography makes possible an analysis and reconstruction of an image of the electric resistance in the presence of a defect electrode (A). The method includes the steps of identifying an electrode as a defect electrode (A), which has no contact with the body, by means of an impedance measurement, of performing current feeds such that at least the defect electrode (A) is jumped over, and of determining voltage potentials in the area of the defect electrode (A) over the defect electrode (A) in such a way that the defect electrode (A) is jumped over at least once.

    Abstract: A cable for electromedical application and especially for recording the ECG of patients of different body shapes and body sizes is provided including a textile composite (1) formed of a carrier layer (2) and a cover layer (3). At least one electric line (4) is accommodated between the carrier layer (2) and the cover layer (3). After manufacture in a cost-effective manner, the cable offers sufficient protection against short circuits in case of penetration of moisture, on the one hand, and adapts to curved and irregularly shaped structures without problems, on the other hand. The cable textile composite (1) is flexibly deformable without destruction, wherein at least one electric line (4) is electrically insulated by an insulation (5) against the carrier layer (2) and the cover layer (3).

A plurality of electrodes, are mechanically connected to the belt and are in flat contact with the body of the test subject. At least one contact passes from the electrodes through the belt (2) and is connected to a connection element (11), which is connected to a lead each of a multicore cable (6). Such an electrode belt offers marked advantages in terms of handling along with increased safety from movement artifacts.
