  • Patent number: 10842909
Abstract: A material or biomaterial comprising silicic acid condensates having a low degree of cross-linking, and methods for its production are subject-matter of the invention. A method for the production of silicic acid structures having a low degree of cross-linking is disclosed, wherein a sol is produced, wherein further condensation is prevented when specific cross-linking of the silicic acid is reached, wherein, preferably, structures having a size of 0.5-1000 nm are produced, e.g. polyhedral structures or aggregates of the same. Further condensation can be prevented by means of mixing with a polymer. In one embodiment, this comprises nano-structured, silicon dioxide (SiO2) having a low degree of cross-linking that is embedded in a polymer matrix. The material can be used in medicine for therapeutic purposes, and can enter into direct contact with biological tissue of the body in this connection.

  • Patent number: 10585698
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for multi-tenant workflow processing are described. In some cases, a cloud platform may utilize a set of pre-defined batch processes (e.g., workflow templates) and tenant-specific configurations for instantiating and executing tenant-specific batch processes for each tenant of a user. As such, the cloud platform may utilize common data process workflows for each tenant, where a configuration specifies tenant-specific information for the common data process workflows. The workflow templates may include a set of job definitions (e.g., actions for a server to execute) and a schedule defining the frequency for running the templates for a specific project. The configurations may indicate a tenant to execute the workflow templates for, and may include tenant-specific information to override default template information.

  • Patent number: 10272644
Abstract: A flat steel product is disclosed which is particularly suitable for the production of components for motor vehicle bodies by press-hardening, and which has insensitivity to cracking coupled with increased strength and has sufficient suitability for welding for incorporation into a welded construction. This combination of properties is achieved in accordance with the invention by virtue of the flat steel product having a core layer consisting of a steel alloyed with Mn, B and at least 0.3% by weight of C and having a tensile strength of more than 1500 MPa, and an outer layer cohesively bonded to the core layer. The C content of the outer layer is not more than 0.09% by weight. This flat steel product has, in the region of the outer layer, a tensile strength corresponding to not more than half the tensile strength of the steel of the core layer in the ready-hardened state, with the elongation A80 of the outer layer corresponding to at least 1.

  • Patent number: 9833319
Abstract: The invention relates to biomaterials based on plastics, such as polyaryl polyether ketone (PEK), and to methods for producing and using same. The following describes how a mechanically stable coating made of a porous bone substitute material, e.g. Nano Bone®, is applied to polyaryl polyether ketone (PEK), e.g. polyether ether ketone (PEEK), as a result of which the problem of poor cell adhesion on plastics surfaces of this kind can be solved. The bone substitute material can be applied both dry as a powder and also in a wet spraying method. The coating is a result of briefly melting the polymer surface and the resulting partial penetration of the previously applied layer. In the process, the molten polymer penetrates into nanopores of the bone substitute material and thus establishes a firm connection.
