    Abstract: A home entertainment system includes at least one media signal generating module, a microphone configured to pick up a noise signal of an environment in which the home entertainment system is located, a noise processing module configured to evaluate the noise signal picked up by the microphone, and a power control module configured to control the power provided to the at least one media signal generating module. When the noise processing module detects a predefined noise signal event in the noise signal, the power control module is configured to provide power to the at least one media signal generating module in response to the detected predefined noise signal event, and the at least one media signal generating module emits a presence media signal in response to the detected predefined noise signal event.
