  • Publication number: 20180220592
Abstract: A method and system for plant growth lighting. The method comprises accessing a reference growth profile associated with a plant under cultivation. Based on comparing a growth state of the plant with the reference growth profile, a desired intraday growth lighting condition corresponding to the plant growth state is identified. The desired intraday growth lighting condition is correlated with a spectral output frequency signature of the LED growth lighting source. The desired intraday growth condition is simulated by providing lighting including the correlated spectral output frequency signature from the LED lighting source to the plant under cultivation.

  • Publication number: 20170192154
Abstract: A system for plant growth lighting comprises a generally planar light guide sheet having an illumination surface, a back surface situated opposite the illumination surface, and at least one pair of opposingly disposed peripheral edge portions. The light guide sheet includes a plurality of structures to scatter and mix light received therein. Light is received within the light guide sheet as emitted from a series of Light Emitting Diode light sources (LEDs) selected to provide a photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) value. The series of LEDs may be located on the opposingly disposed peripheral edge portions, such that they direct light towards the other of the opposingly disposed peripheral edge portions. A reflective sheet is overlaid in optical communication with the back surface of the light guide. Light as received from the LEDs within the light guide is scattered and randomly mixed by the plurality of structures therein.

  • Publication number: 20170093700
Abstract: A computer-based platform for receiving data from disparate data sources and making the disparate data available for combinations by users into different data products and services is provided. Data from disparate data sources are authenticated and provided to a routing program. The routing program then transmits the data over an internal bus, providing each data source in a URL-addressable format, so that data can be used by different data consumer programs in an easy to combine manner.

  • Publication number: 20070190923
Abstract: A personal cooling device having a cylindrical housing approximately the size of a ballpoint pen, a battery compartment within the housing, an electric motor to drive a propeller, air inlet and exhaust ports, a switch for turning the unit on/off and structure for attachment to differing articles of clothing.

  • Publication number: 20070154190
Abstract: Several ways are provided for a viewer of a movie to create a deep tag, that is, a bookmark for a segment of the movie. The deep tag can be associated with descriptive text and sent to an address provided by the viewer, either an e-mail address or an instant messaging address. Additionally, before the deep tag is created, it can be checked whether the content owner of the movie is known. If known, the content owner's rules, if any, regarding deep tagging are followed. If unknown, a set of registered content owners can be alerted of the presence of new content. When ownership of the new content is established, the already-created deep tags can be updated in accordance with the content owner's rules, if any, regarding deep tagging.

  • Publication number: 20070055986
Abstract: An ad is placed in a movie, by analyzing inherent characteristics of the movie, analyzing viewed characteristics of the movie, analyzing viewer characteristics of a viewer of the movie, obtaining advertiser preferences for placement of the ad in the movie, determining costs of placing the ad in the movie based on the inherent characteristics of the movie, the viewed characteristics of the movie, the viewer characteristics and the advertiser preferences, and placing the ad in the movie in accordance with the inherent characteristics of the movie, the viewed characteristics of the movie, the viewer characteristics, the advertiser preferences and the determined costs.

  • Publication number: 20060265657
Abstract: Ads are placed in a movie using a graphical interface that enables selecting of the ads from a set of ads, selecting frames of the movie for the ad, and selecting locations in the frames for the ads. Each of the ad and the movie can be a still image, a full motion video, an audio, a graphic or a combination thereof. An executable command may also be a part of the ad that is inserted, the command being selected for execution by a viewer of the ad when the movie is played to the viewer.

  • Publication number: 20060263038
Abstract: A movie editor converts a received movie into a proxy format, and creates a texture strip representing the frames of the movie. An editor can use the texture strip to edit the movie, rather than editing the movie directly. Deep tags and/or special effects can be defined for the texture strip using a graphical interface. The graphical interface enables movies to be combined into a playback product according to a control structure graphically presented in the graphical interface.

  • Publication number: 20060263037
Abstract: A network editor comprises a central location with stored movies that can be edited by editors at remote locations. An editor receives a representation of the movie, and specifies edits relative to the representation, enabling the editor to use a device lacking sufficient processing capability to edit the movie directly, and also reducing the volume of information transmitted between the central location and the remote editor. The central location is able to provide the edited movie in a format suitable to the display capabilities of the viewing device of the viewer requesting the edited movie.

  • Patent number: 5163836
Abstract: An electrical conductor that electrically couples a circuit board to another electrical device. The connector has a flexible circuit board with at least one electrical conductor that is attached to a flexible dielectric sheet. Attached to the electrical conductor is an electrically conductive elastomer adapted to engage conductive pads on the surface of the circuit board. The connector has a plate or other member that presses the conductive elastomer onto the conductive surface pads, creating an electrical path between the conductor and the circuit board. The conductor is attached to the electrical device, wherein the electrical device is electrically coupled to the circuit board.
