  • Patent number: 11951480
Abstract: A solid phase microextraction device is disclosed, including a substrate having a planar surface and a sorbent layer disposed on the planar surface. The planar surface is defined by a base edge, a spray edge disposed distal across the substrate from the base edge, the spray edge including a tapering tip extending away from the base edge, a first lateral edge extending from the base edge to the tapering tip, and a second lateral edge extending from the base edge to the tapering tip, the second lateral edge being disposed distal across the substrate from the first lateral edge. The sorbent layer extends a sampling length from the spray edge toward the base edge and includes sorbent particles. A method for forming the solid phase microextraction device is disclosed, including applying the sorbent layer on the planar surface utilizing at least one of screen printing, stencil printing, or additive manufacturing.

  • Publication number: 20240068450
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to harvesting geothermal energy from mature and near end-of-life oil and gas reservoirs that have been subjected to secondary oil recovery steam processes like steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD), steamflood, etc. The geothermal potential of these mature SAGD reservoirs can be used to generate green electricity thus reducing the greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint of the oil production. Lateral spacing of injectors and producers, with closing of unused members of a well-pair for energy recovery is described.

  • Publication number: 20230398561
Abstract: A fluid product dispensing device having a reservoir with a dose of fluid product, a piston-stopper mounted to slide in the reservoir, a dispensing head with a dispensing orifice axially movable to move the piston-stopper to dispense the fluid product. The piston-stopper has a hollow sleeve with a central receiving zone substantially at the axial and radial center of the piston plug. A shut-off element is positioned in the central receiving zone in a shutting-off position and, during actuation, expelled from the shutting-off position towards an open position. The central receiving zone is extended axially on one side by a lower receiving zone having two wall parts separated by at two axially extending radial grooves, the wall parts holding the shut-off element in its open position, with the fluid product able, during actuation, to flow from the reservoir around the shut-off element in the open position towards the dispensing orifice.

  • Patent number: 11052199
Abstract: An autoinjector having a body (1) receiving a reservoir (S), the reservoir containing fluid and including a piston (P); a piston rod (5) adapted to co-operate with the piston (P) of the reservoir (S), the piston rod (5) movable by an injection spring (8) between a primed position and an injection position in which the piston rod (5) has moved the piston (P) of the reservoir (S); and an indicator device for indicating that the autoinjector may be removed from the injection site. The autoinjector includes a retarding system for delaying actuation of the indicator device relative to the end of injection, the retarding system including a dashpot (16) containing a fluid and a piston (19) arranged in the dashpot (16). The retarding system has the dashpot (16), the piston (19), a retarding spring (18), a locking key (20), and the piston rod (5), and the piston rod (5).

  • Patent number: 10912893
Abstract: An auto-injector having a body (1) receiving a reservoir (S) and including a piston (P); a piston rod (5) movable between a primed position and an injection position in which the piston rod (5) has moved the piston (P) to inject fluid into an injection site; and a visual, audible, and/or tactile indicator device for indicating that the autoinjector may be removed from the injection site. The autoinjector includes a retarding system to delay actuating the indicator device relative to the end of injection and that includes a dashpot (16), a shear member (19) and a fluid. The dashpot or the shear member is rotatably mounted in the body and the other is stationary in rotation, the turning of one relative to the other being braked by shearing the fluid contained in the dashpot. The dashpot and shear member include projections that impede the flow of the fluid.

  • Patent number: 5831813
Abstract: A breaker box front panel with window assembly including a breaker box and a plurality of switches situated within an interior space of the breaker box. The switches are connected between ends of a pair of associated wires which are situated adjacent the corresponding switch. The wires include a first wire connected to a power source and a second wire connected to an appliance. The switches have a first orientation for allowing transmission of power from the power source to the appliance and a second orientation for precluding transmission of power from the power source to the appliance. Further provided is a front panel secured about a front opening of the breaker box. The front panel is adapted to allow the manipulation of the switches and have at least one cut out vertically formed therein. As such, the wires associated with each switch can be seen through the cut out.
