  • Patent number: 10794726
Abstract: A method of calculating a climb-dive marker (CDM) that is visibly present on a display even as the aircraft approaches a roll angle of +/?90° is provided. An exemplary CDM method comprises obtaining, an X-axis velocity, a Y-axis velocity, and a Z-axis velocity in aircraft body coordinates of an aircraft; calculating a CDM elevation; and displaying, by the controller, the calculated CDM elevation. The method can further comprise obtaining an angle of attack (AoA) of the aircraft and a roll angle of the aircraft, wherein the AoA is set as the value of the CDM elevation when the roll angle is within a preset range. The CDM elevation may also be calculated using a combination of the AOA and the CDM formula when roll angle is within a second preset range.

  • Patent number: 10731981
Abstract: A combined altitude display apparatus for generating a combined altitude value is provided. The apparatus comprises a first altitude input interface, wherein the first altitude input interface receives a first altitude value; a second altitude input interface, wherein the second altitude input interface receives a second altitude value, wherein the second altitude value indicated by the second altitude input interface has a cyclical range; an altitude output interface, wherein the altitude output interface outputs a third altitude value; and a data fusion component coupled to the first altitude input interface and the second altitude input interface and configured to calculate the third altitude value based on the first altitude value and the second altitude value.

  • Publication number: 20130120621
Abstract: An apparatus, and an associated method, for creating a color image at a camera module. A plurality of lenses is positioned to receive incident light energy of a target. An optical filter is associated with one or more of the lenses. Different filters exhibit different optical characteristics. Incident light is filtered and then focused by the lenses towards respective focal points of the lenses. A monochrome sensor element senses light intensity of focused light, focused by the lenses. Sensed indications are utilized to form a color image.

  • Patent number: 5982351
Abstract: In an electronic device having a keyboard (120) and a display (116), a processing system (106) displays on the display a message entered through the keyboard and selects a supplemental mode, in response to entry of a first predetermined key sequence by a user. The supplemental mode is selected in accordance with the first predetermined key sequence, from at least one of a group of supplemental modes included in the electronic device. The group of supplemental modes comprise an acronym mode (200), a supplemental scrolling keyboard mode (300), a predictive character pairing mode (301), a predictive menuing mode (400), and a bi-directional delete mode (500). The electronic device operates in accordance with the supplemental mode until an occurrence of at least one of (a) the user entering a second predetermined key sequence and (b) the supplemental mode executing to completion.
