Patent number: 8190503Abstract: A method, system, apparatus and media are directed to managing trading of financial instruments with a clearinghouse as a counter-party to trades. A plurality of inputs that includes trade data for trades executed using the computer system is received. A discount curve for projected prices of a swap contract over time based on the received plurality of inputs is determined in real-time. A swap contract price is valued based on the determined discount curve. A margin requirement is determined for a user who wishes to trade or hold a position in the swap contract in the user's account based on the swap contract price. Data about a trade of the swap contract that is executed within the computer system is incorporated into the trade data used for determining the discount curve to provide a feedback loop into the real-time determination of the discount curve.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2010Date of Patent: May 29, 2012Assignee: International Derivatives Clearing Group, LLCInventors: Thomas Green, Garry O'Connor, Michael Dundon, John Shay, Gerald P. Patent number: 7765500Abstract: A method of more efficiently, easily and cost-effectively analyzing the performance of a device model is disclosed. Embodiments enable automated generation of theoretical performance analysis for a device model based upon a workload associated with rendering graphical data and a configuration of the device model. The workload may be independent of design configuration, thereby enabling determination of the workload without simulating the device model. Additionally, the design configuration may be updated or changed without re-determining the workload. Accordingly, the graphical data may comprise a general or random test which is relatively large in size and covers a relatively large operational scope of the design. Additionally, the workload may comprise graphical information determined based upon the graphical data. Further, the theoretical performance analysis may indicate a graphics pipeline unit of the device model causing a bottleneck in a graphics pipeline of the device model.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2007Date of Patent: July 27, 2010Assignee: NVIDIA CorporationInventors: Ziyad Hakura, John Tynefield, Thomas Green

Publication number: 20060144088Abstract: A surface mixing burner (16) is positioned in alignment with a mold of a glass container forming machine of the I.S. type to produce a supply of soot to lubricate an inner surface of the mold, the soot being produced by combustion of a rich, combustible supply of a fuel and an oxidant. The supply of fuel and oxidant is intermittently ignited by a sparking device (54) that is positioned within a sooting head (10), and an ignition coil (56) is positioned within the sooting head to deliver a high voltage pulse to the sparking device by the inductive discharge method. The ignition coil is positioned sufficiently close to the sparking device, and preferably in direct contact therewith, to avoid interference with the proper operation of an electronic control system for the I.S. machine. A remotely-positioned power supply (62) is provided to energize the ignition coil, the power supply providing power to the ignition coil at a relatively low voltage, for example, 12-24 volts d.c.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 3, 2005Publication date: July 6, 2006Inventors: Thomas Green, D. Publication number: 20060088152Abstract: In response to a request for a conference call among specified invitees, a conference-call system provides web pages that elicit from respective invitees the telephone numbers at which they can be reached, and it causes messages that contain those web pages' URIs to be sent to those invitees. If a presence network indicates that an invitee's messages will be received on a telephone, the conference system instead sends to that phone a message specifying a telephone number to call and a PIN to be used for that purpose.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2004Publication date: April 27, 2006Applicant: Lightbridge, Inc.Inventors: Thomas Green, Tod Irwin, Donald Pilcher, John Rose, Herbert Spenner, Kevin Thornton, Roger Wiens

Publication number: 20050274171Abstract: A removable heat inducer may be used in either a heated regulator or a fluid heater. The removable heat inducer has various embodiments. In one embodiment, helical threads are formed on the outside surface of the inducer. The inducer expands when heated causing the crest of the threads to come into contact with the inside surface of a heating chamber to form a spiral fluid passageway which promotes better heat exchange between the fluid and the heating element. In a first alternative embodiment of the inducer, a series of walled partitions and slots are formed on the outside surface of the inducer, which likewise expand and contact the inside surface of the heating chamber to form a dead head flow passageway. Again, the purpose of the passageway is to promote efficient heat exchange. In a second alternative embodiment of the removable heat inducer, a plurality of rods are placed in the heating chamber to promote heat exchange. The spaces between the rods form passageways for the fluid.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 16, 2005Publication date: December 15, 2005Applicant: WELKER ENGINEERING COMPANYInventors: Tracy Peebles, Thomas Green
