  • Publication number: 20200262168
Abstract: A standalone waste compacting device includes an enclosure having a removable bin; a cover section on the enclosure incorporating at least one solar power unit, at least one storage battery and control unit, at least one inwardly pivoting user access flap having a dual locking control mechanism, at least one recessed foot pedal mechanism for opening the access flap, a detachable independent compaction unit comprising a scissor linkage and lever linkage system, and at least one service access means.

  • Publication number: 20020080774
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided to manage communications in networks having wired and wireless portions. By determining the optimum segment size for a wireless link based on various status conditions such as bit-error rates, data throughput across the wireless link can be improved. Accordingly, data received from a wired network can be repackaged using the desired segment size before being transmitted over the wireless link. Similarly, optimum-sized segments can be received from the wireless link and the data in the received segments can be passed to the wired network.

  • Publication number: 20020065064
Abstract: The present invention provides a first gateway that can receive, buffer and acknowledge a number of files from a data terminal. The gateway can then transmit one or more first segments derived from the received files to a wireless device over a first wireless link. In the event that the first wireless link is broken, any data not received by the wireless device by the first gateway can be provided to a second gateway. The second gateway, in turn, can provide the remaining data to the wireless device using one or more second segments without requiring that the second gateway contact the data terminal.

  • Patent number: 5580088
Abstract: A trailer hitch has a boom which is slideable from a drawn in position to different extended positions and which independently of its extendability is swingable from a centered position to different sideways angled hook up positions. The trailer hitch is hand operated to pull the boom inwardly from any one of the different extended positions to the drawn in position with a manual pusher for pushing the boom towards the centered position. It further includes safety stops for preventing any outward swinging of the boom while the boom is being drawn inwardly.

  • Patent number: 4777026
Abstract: Process for production of desired phosphates from naturally occurring phosphates is characterized by treating naturally occurring phosphates under alkaline conditions to produce a material comprising trisodium and/or tripotassium orthophosphates, carbonating said material in solution, and recovering the desired phosphates from the carbonated solution. The desired phosphates include di- and mono-sodium orthophosphate; pentasodium tripolyphosphate; sodium metaphosphate and its polymers; tetrasodium pyrophosphate; ammonium phosphate; sodium ammonium hydrogen phosphate, magnesium ammonium phosphate; and the corresponding potassium salts thereof.

  • Patent number: 4142327
Abstract: What follows is a description of a three track mechanism assembly for a vehicle door, and in particular for a light rail vehicle door. Each track mechanism includes a guide rail for guiding the door in its opening and closing movement relative to the vehicle body. Two of the track mechanisms include actuators for producing the opening and closing movement of the door. One of these actuators produces the desired longitudinal displacement of the door relative to the vehicle body, while the other actuator produces the desired transverse displacement of the door relative to the vehicle body. In addition, an extraction device can be included with the track mechanism having the actuator producing the desired longitudinal displacement for assisting the other actuator in producing the desired transverse displacement of the door relative to the vehicle body.
