  • Publication number: 20140106911
Abstract: A lacrosse head pocket and a related method of manufacture are provided. The pocket can be a molded pocket including individual molded strings, combined strings, shooting strings and support rails extending around a perimeter of the pocket. Certain pocket elements can include transition parts to smoothly transition components having different cross sections. The pocket can include a pre-formed ball channel and hole units having broadsides for connection to a head or other component. The pocket can be attached to a pocket frame, and optionally constructed from a mesh or other synthetic material that is tensioned with the pocket frame. A mold and related molding method are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20100005677
Abstract: A device and method to measure the dimensions of the lacrosse head to determine compliance with NCAA lacrosse rules. The device includes a longitudinal member having a terminal end adapted to engage a lacrosse head, and at least one cross bar joined with and generally transverse to the longitudinal bar at one or more preselected distances from the terminal end. The cross bar can be configured to measure the width or other dimension of the lacrosse head at the preselected distances. The cross bar can include movable arms that extend and collapse relative to the longitudinal bar to alter the overall dimensions of the device and make it generally easier to transport by users. The method includes using the device to determine whether a head complies with dimensional specifications.

  • Publication number: 20080232621
Abstract: An apparatus related to earmolds with venting configurations designed to relieve the occlusion effect. Various designs provide multiple vents allow residual ear canal air volume to vent to and from air outside the ear and the earmold. In various designs, the earmold includes one vent between the residual ear canal air volume and a volume of air internal to the earmold. A second vent provides passage of air internal to the earmold and air external to the ear and the inserted earmold when worn by a user.

  • Patent number: 4239070
Abstract: A portable hydraulic log splitter in which first and second splitting wedges are mounted in fixed positions relative to one another on a fixedly positioned supporting "H" beam. A ram is slideably mounted to the upper and lower flanges of the "H" beam for movement between the first and second splitting wedges. A two-way hydraulic cylinder means controls the ram for alternately forcing supplied logs against the first and second splitting wedges respectively. In a preferred mode of operation the two-way hydraulic cylinder means is comprised of first and second two-way hydraulic cylinder means disposed on opposite sides of the "H" beam and connected to the opposite sides, respectively, of the ram means for applying a substantially equal force to each side of the ram.
