  • Patent number: 9169070
Abstract: A system including a load assembly configured to hold a plurality of deposit beverage containers, a tray configured to receive the deposit beverage containers from the load assembly, and one or both of a sort bar and a chute be disposed on the tray. The sort bar is configured to stop individual deposit beverage containers from sliding across the tray long enough to allow a user to sort individual deposit beverage containers and the chute is configured to direct the deposit beverage containers in a path across the tray. The system further includes a feed channel that receives the deposit beverage containers from the tray, with the feed channel being coupleable to one or both of the following components: a count module configured to receive and count the containers from the feed channel and a holding module configured to receive and hold the containers from the feed channel.

  • Patent number: 8919521
Abstract: An apparatus for counting deposit beverage containers that includes a loading basin for holding a plurality of deposit beverage containers, a feed chute for receiving the containers from the loading basin having an inlet end narrowing into at least one outlet end, and at least one feed channel extending from each outlet end. The feed channel includes a choke opening that orders the containers into a single file row, an upward bend following the choke opening that decreases the downward slope of the feed channel to moderate the flow of the containers, and a downward curve following the upward bend that accelerates each container to create separation between containers.

  • Patent number: 7344209
Abstract: The present disclosure is a one-way drawer stop having a counterbalanced latch 16 and stop plate 20. In the preferred embodiment the latch mechanism 16 is installed on the sliding member 14 while the stop plate 20 is installed on the stationary member 22. In operation, the sliding member 14 is moved from a closed position where it encounters the stop plate 20 whereupon the exposed end of the latch mechanism 16 is depressed moving it from engagement with the stop plate allowing the sliding member to be fully opened. When the sliding member 14 is moved from the open position into the closed position, the latch 16 rides up and over the stop mechanism 20 providing the sliding member with a stop mechanism that prevents opening but not closing.
