  • Patent number: 10467815
Abstract: A processing device generates a visual overlay comprising a virtual model of a dental arch that represents a treatment outcome for the dental arch. The processing device outputs the visual overlay to an augmented reality (AR) display or virtual reality (VR) display. The processing device receives user input based on a user interaction with the virtual model of the dental arch, wherein the user input modifies the virtual model of the dental arch and determines an update to the treatment outcome for the dental arch based on a user input. The processing device generates an updated treatment plan based on the update to the treatment outcome and updates the visual overlay, wherein the updated visual overlay comprises a view of the dental arch after the updated treatment outcome.

  • Publication number: 20190332520
Abstract: Described technologies support selectively tracing a process's execution, with some extra tracing done beyond the code the developer wanted traced, but with significantly reduced computational cost, by reducing the number of trace enablement and disablement operations. A trace controller uses a tracing disablement distance variable whose values indicate the computational distance from trace disablement. A distance variable modifier automatically moves the distance variable closer to a stop-tracing value as the process executes. A create task function is modified to include the setting of an indicator that a newly created task is to be traced if a current task or thread is being traced. An execute task function is modified to request the tracing of the newly created task when it is executed based on the indicator, thereby enabling selective tracing that operates across process boundaries and traces asynchronous code execution.

  • Patent number: 10461700
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for generating an oscillating signal for use as a clock in digital logic timing. The oscillating signal is generated via a differential RC relaxation oscillator including an oscillator core and biasing circuitry. The oscillator core may be configured such that the oscillating signal it generates is substantially sinusoidal or pseudo-sinusoidal and contains less harmonic content relative to a square wave signal. The biasing circuitry may be configured to have a reduced dependence on temperature so that the biasing values it provides vary less with temperature.

  • Patent number: 10441949
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and a corresponding apparatus for coating open-pored bodies with at least one coating suspension. In particular, the coating suspension has solids and solutes in a liquid medium in a quantity in wet state which is to correspond to at least a required target quantity. The coating operation has a variation in the applied wet coating quantity from one body to the other. The method according to the invention is characterized by the steps of: coating the body with an actual quantity of the coating suspension, which is always larger than the required target quantity taking the variation of the coating operation into account, determining the difference between the actual quantity and the required target quantity, and reducing the difference between actual quantity and target quantity by removing still wet coating suspension.

  • Patent number: 10389368
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include a dual path phase locked loop (PLL) circuit with a switched capacitor filter topology along with systems, method, devices, and other circuits related thereto. The dual path PLL circuit includes an integral path and a proportional path. Both the integral path and proportional path include a charge pump and a loop filter. The outputs of a phase frequency detector (PFD) are sent to both charge pumps. The output of the integral path charge pump is connected to a capacitor, and the voltage on capacitor is used as the integral path control voltage for a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). A switched capacitor network is connected to the output of the proportional path charge pump and used to generate the proportional path control voltage for the VCO. Together, the two control voltages dictate the VCO's output frequency.

  • Patent number: 10386161
Abstract: A target system has a splatter pack attached to a target panel. The splatter pack acts as a receptacle for a fluid that provides visual confirmation that the target has been hit as the pack bursts upon impact by a projectile. The splatter pack is formed by an array of chambers that are arranged in a staggered pattern. As the pack bursts, the fluid explodes out and leaves a splatter pattern on or about the target panel. The burst and residual splatter allow the marksman to see whether or not an accurate shot was delivered without having to closely examine the target. The splatter pack is removably secured to the target panel by one or more fasteners. Each one of the chambers in the interior portion of the splatter pack are intersected by at least one of the channels that are formed between adjacent chambers.

  • Publication number: 20190244192
Abstract: The UNIVERSAL ELECTRONIC PAYMENT APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“UEP”) transform touchscreen inputs into a virtual wallet mobile application interface via UEP components into purchase transaction triggers and receipt notices. In one implementation the UEP provides, via a user device, a product information search request; and obtains, in response to the product information search request, information on a first product for sale by a first merchant and a second product for sale by a second merchant. The UEP generates a single purchase transaction request, using the information on the first product for sale by the first merchant and the second product for sale by the second merchant. The UEP provides, via the user device, the single purchase transaction request for payment processing. Also, the UEP obtains an electronic purchase receipt for the first product for sale by the first merchant and the second product for sale by the second merchant.

  • Publication number: 20190230000
Abstract: A services platform acts as an intermediary between an existing enterprise analytic environment, and one or more underlying cloud service providers. The platform provides enterprise “big data-as-a-service,” by which an enterprise can seamlessly and easily provision new capacity for processing its analytic workload, and migrate data sources (e.g., data warehouse marts, enterprise data warehouses, analytic sandboxes, and the like) to the cloud for processing. The platform provides end-to-end enterprise class manageability of enterprise data assets, from data collection, aggregation, movement, staging and processing, all while providing service levels, security, access and governance. The platform integrates directly but seamlessly into the enterprise analytic stack, and existing analytics applications work as normal. The platform provides a way for the enterprise to translate its workloads into clusters of compute resources that meet its service level requirements.

  • Patent number: 10345845
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include systems, methods, devices, and circuits for fast settling of a bias node. Consistent with some embodiments, a bias circuit may include a successive-approximation-register-analog-to-digital converter (SAR-ADC) based settling loop configured to perform a fast settling process for a heavily loaded bias node. The SAR-ADC based loop performs a SAR-ADC process that includes measuring a reference signal to determine a number of cells in a capacitor array that are involved in a charge sharing process while simultaneously completing the settling process for the bias node.

  • Publication number: 20190190623
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for reducing the effects of an impedance mismatch between a communications system and a shared communications medium. A communication system, such as a transceiver within a cable modem, switches between various operating modes including a transmit mode, a receive mode, and a standby mode. The standby mode may be used while the transceiver is in an idle state between modes, such as while changing an amplifier gain states in between transmissions. While transitioning between modes, the impedance presented by the communications system can temporarily fluctuate causing unwanted signal reflections to propagate out of the communications system and on to the shared medium. Circuitry within the communications system, such as transmission circuitry including an adjustable attenuator, may be placed into a hybrid attenuation-isolation mode during the transition causing the magnitude of any unwanted signal reflections to be attenuated and reducing the impact on the shared medium.

  • Patent number: 10324156
Abstract: Some implementations provide a MRI system configured to: access data encoding an input gradient waveform that would otherwise be used on a gradient sub-system of the MRI system to generate a gradient that corresponds to perturbations to the substantially uniform magnetic field; access data encoding a forward impulse response function and an inverse impulse response function, both characterizing a gradient generated from a target impulse input; pre-emphasizing the input gradient waveform by using both the forward impulse response function and the reverse impulse response function; and drive the gradient sub-system using the pre-emphasized gradient waveform such that distortions to the gradient caused by eddy currents within the gradient sub-system are substantially removed while radio-frequency (RF) samples for reconstructing an MRI image are being acquired from a grid that is substantially identical to when gradient sub-system is driven using the input gradient waveform.
