  • Publication number: 20240111757
Abstract: A method may include receiving a first transaction inserting a record into a database and a second transaction deleting the record from the database. A validity period for the record may be determined based on a first commit time at which the first transaction is committed and a second commit time at which the second transaction is committed. A current table and/or a history table of a system versioned table may be updated to include the record based on the validity period of the record. One or more temporal operations may be performed based on the system versioned table. For example, a time travel operation may be performed to retrieve, based on the system versioned table, one or more records that are valid at a given point in time. Related systems and computer program products are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20170051939
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a system capable of reducing negative pressure. The system includes a make-up air system that can be configured and arranged to be installed within a structure, such as a building. The system can also include a pressure switch that is configured and arranged to sense a pressure within an exhaust duct coupled to an exhaust device. The pressure switch can also be configured to communicate an activation signal and a deactivation signal to the make-up air system. In some embodiments, communication of the activation and deactivation signals can be at least partially dependent on the pressure within the exhaust duct. Moreover, the pressure switch can be configured and arranged to be retroactively coupled to at least one of the exhaust duct and the exhaust device.

  • Publication number: 20120190294
Abstract: An indoor air quality system and method for a building. In an embodiment, the system includes a plurality of exhaust fans and a plurality of controllers. The exhaust fans each have a predetermined exhaust rate. The controllers are configured to monitor an actual volume of air exhausted by the indoor air quality system, and to automatically operate the exhaust fans to exhaust a desired volume of air during a time period. In an embodiment, the method includes setting parameters in a plurality of controllers, communicating to the controllers an operating state of the fans, determining a time at which to energize the fans such that the volume of air to exchange during the time period is exchanged during the time period, and energizing the fans at the determined time.

  • Publication number: 20080006979
Abstract: A folding apparatus of a printing press, in particular a web-fed rotary press, and a method for operating the same, is disclosed. The folding apparatus has a folding superstructure or magazine superstructure, a cutting unit located downline from the folding superstructure when viewed in the transportation direction of the substrate webs, and a cross-folding unit located downline from the cutting unit when viewed in the transportation direction of the substrate webs and/or longitudinal folding unit, where the folding superstructure includes at least one sensor to detect an anticipated cross-cutting error. On the basis of the anticipated cross-cutting error detected by the, or each, sensor, a drive for the cutting unit is governed in order to compensate for the anticipated cross-cutting error at the cutting unit.
