    Abstract: Methods and systems for delivering a package to a customer employ an on-demand locker assembly having a plurality of lockers into which a package is placed for retrieval by the customer. A computer-implemented method for delivering a package to a customer includes receiving the package into a facility. The customer is notified that the package has arrived at the facility. In response to receiving a check-in notification from the customer, the package is placed into a locker having a closed configuration that blocks access to the package by the customer. The customer is sent an access code for use by the customer in retrieving the package from the locker. Entry of the access code by the customer is received. In response to receipt of the entry of the access code, the locker is reconfigured so that the customer can retrieve the package from the locker.

    Abstract: A control system for mounting to a vertically-extending rail. The control system includes a plurality of bases, each having a channel formed therein that is adapted for mounting to the rail. A plurality of modules are provided for removable mounting to the bases, respectively. Each module has circuitry for processing control signals and a housing enclosing the circuitry. At least a bottom end of each housing has openings therein to permit air to flow into the housing and over the circuitry. A plurality of air flow deflectors are provided for mounting to the bases, respectively. When the modules and the air flow deflectors are mounted to the bases, the air flow deflectors form pockets with the bottom ends of the modules. The pockets have enlarged openings disposed parallel to sides of the modules.

The control system includes primary and secondary module buses over which information may be transmitted between a controller and a plurality of I/O modules. Each of the controller and I/O modules has a power sense circuit for detecting current on the high side of a driver and a ground sense circuit for detecting current on the low side of the driver. The driver is determined to have failed if either the current on the high side of the driver measured by the power sense circuit is outside a predetermined high range or the current on the low side of the driver measured by the ground sense circuit is outside a predetermined low range.
