  • Publication number: 20210183363
Abstract: A method for operating a hearing system having a hearing aid and a mobile device includes using at least one microphone of the hearing aid to record and convert sound signals into associated electrical microphone signals. The microphone signals are checked for the presence of speech components. Existing speech components are examined by using voice recognition and a voice profile thus recognized is assigned to a specific speaker. The mobile device is used to obtain additional information about the specific speaker that goes beyond personal information and the information is presented to a user of the hearing system. A hearing system for performing the method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20210185223
Abstract: For the recording of an ear of a user using a camera manually controlled by the user, the user is instructed to manually position the camera in a starting position to record his face. The face of the user is recorded by the camera. A need for correction of the starting position is ascertained based on the recording of the face and the user is instructed if necessary to change the starting position based on the need for correction. The user is instructed to move the camera manually into a target position, in which the camera is oriented to record the ear of the user. An estimated value for a current position of the camera is ascertained. A number of pictures is taken when the current position coincides with the target position, and an item of depth information about the ear of the user is derived from the pictures.

  • Publication number: 20090077493
Abstract: The invention relates to a method in which the output of a multimode user interface is optimized according to the currently used input procedure or the currently used input device, thus allowing pictograms to be displayed on a screen during manual input, for example, said pictograms then being replaced by texts visualizing spoken commands when switching to voice input. The output is thus kept as concise as possible and as detailed as necessary at any time, resulting in increased comfort for the user. The multimode user interface is suitable for vehicle cockpits, personal computers, and all types of mobile terminals.

  • Patent number: 7443819
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for managing relocation of one or more scrambling codes in a spread spectrum wireless communications system. The method comprises detecting an indication for a serving radio network subsystem relocation that causes a user equipment to leave a first radio network controller and selectively transiting, through an intermediate transition, at least one scrambling code of the one or more scrambling codes associated with an uplink from the first radio network controller to a second radio network controller for the user equipment in response to the indication. The first radio network controller may maintain three pools of scrambling codes, namely, a first pool of one or more relocated scrambling codes (SCs), a second pool of one or more free scrambling codes and a third pool for each of one or more used scrambling codes. By avoiding an early reuse, an uplink scrambling code may be assigned to a particular UE because a target radio network controller, i.e.

  • Publication number: 20070168971
Abstract: Multi-tiered model-based application testing is described, including receiving metadata from the application, the metadata being associated with one or more layers of the application, using the metadata to develop a script configured to test a feature of an application model, and converting the metadata to develop another script configured to test another feature of the application model, wherein the another script is generated by the test framework

  • Publication number: 20070092069
Abstract: A method for testing an enterprise application program is provided. In this method, metadata is received from the enterprise application program and a test script is generated based on the metadata. The test script then is translated to a user interface action. A system and computer readable medium for testing the enterprise application program also are described.

  • Patent number: 6444319
Abstract: So that a method for the surface coating of an interior fitting for vehicles with a lacquer or resin layer, in which the interior fitting to be coated is inserted into a cavity of a molding tool, the inner wall of which is at a defined distance from the interior fitting in the region of the interior fitting surface to be coated and thereby forms a clearance extending over the entire surface to be coated and having a substantially constant thickness, and in which a liquid surface coating material is introduced into the clearance and is cured there, can be developed in such a way that the quality of the surface coating is improved as far as possible without additional after-working, it is proposed that the surface coating material have at least two components which are mixed with one another in a mixing and feeding assembly immediately before the filling of the clearance and are fed to the clearance, and that, after the clearance has been filled, the molding tool be separated from the mixing and feeding assembl

  • Patent number: 6104552
Abstract: An exterior rearview mirror for vehicles incorporates a forward vision improving system allowing improved visibility of the opposite roadway forward of the vehicle for safer passing. Preferably, the forward vision system includes a pair of prisms mounted in a mirror housing, one of which is directed at an angle of incidence past and to the left of a front, slower vehicle, the other of which receives the image from the first, and is positioned in the driver's line of sight. In one embodiment of the vision system, the front prism of the pair of prisms is replaced by a divergent lens.

  • Patent number: 6069756
Abstract: A manually adjustable mirror (1) comprising a mirror foot (4) and a mirror housing (2). The mirror housing (2) is rotatably connected to the mirror foot (4) by a fastening member (11) such that the mirror housing (2) is rotatable about at least two axes. Two transducers (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b) are disposed within the mirror housing (2). Two corresponding operation elements (10, 10a, 10b, 17) are mounted within the mirror housing (2) and moveable relative to the mirror housing (2). The operation elements (10, 10a, 10b, 17) are selectively engageable with the transducers (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b) to move the transducers (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b) in response to movement of the mirror housing (2). The transducers (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b) can then detect the relative movement of the mirror housing (2) to the mirror foot (4).
