  • Patent number: 10961612
Abstract: A method for coiling a metal strip that is heat-treated in a furnace immediately before coiling and fed to a coiler at an outlet speed, and then coiled at the coiler at an elevated temperature. The future outlet speed of the metal strip and the heat losses from the metal strip between the furnace and the coiler are calculated via a predictive model and the furnace is controlled by the predictive model such that the metal strip is coiled at a pre-defined temperature within a maximum deviation of +/?5° C.

  • Patent number: 8776520
Abstract: A method for operating a steam power station is provided. The steam turbine power station includes at least one steam turbine and a process steam consumer, wherein a steam mass flow is subdivided into a first partial mass flow and a second partial mass. In a first operating state, the first partial mass flow is supplied to the steam turbine and the second partial mass flow is supplied to the process steam consumer. In a second operating state, at least part of the second partial mass flow is supplied to the steam turbine at least after the first turbine stages. A steam power station is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8487467
Abstract: A method for operating a gas and steam turbine system is provided. The system includes a frequency converter which is assigned to a starting device of a gas turbine, and a generator which is assigned to a steam turbine. The intention is to be able to obtain a particularly high level of operational flexibility with particularly low mechanical complexity. For this purpose, the electrical power of the generator is fed into a consumer system via the frequency converter.

  • Publication number: 20110188999
Abstract: An axial turbine for a gas turbine including a rotor blade cascade is provided. The rotor blade cascade is formed from rotor blades each including, a front edge, a blade tip, and an annular space wall that surrounds the rotor blade cascade and includes an annular space inner side, enabling the annular space wall to be arranged directly adjacent to the blade tip forming a radial gap between the covering of the blade tip and the annual space inner side. When the turbine is in operation, the area of the blade tip with the highest pressure load is disposed in the region of the front edges, and the rotor blades in the region of their front edges include a radial projection and the annular space wall includes on the annular space inner side, a peripheral radial recess that interacts with the radial projections such that a minimum is established in the direction of the main through-flow of the turbine.
