  • Patent number: 10861655
Abstract: A method for producing a contact material on the basis of silver-tin oxide or silver-zinc oxide is disclosed. Tin oxide particles and/or zinc oxide particles are mixed with a powder of a metal different from silver. The mixture is heated beyond the melting point of the metal powder such that the tin oxide particles and/or zinc oxide particles are wetted with liquid metal. The mixture is exposed to an atmosphere containing oxygen and the metal is thereby oxidized. Thereafter, the mixture product formed by the oxidation step is embedded as a powder into a silver matrix. The product further relates to a corresponding contact material.

  • Publication number: 20140114792
Abstract: The exchange-driven electronic market system disclosed herein allows increasing volume and efficiency of transactions between buyers and sellers in a marketplace. An implementation of the electronic market system includes a method comprising receiving a plurality of sale offers, each sale offer including required revenue values required volume values for a product, determining an offered market price based on the plurality of sale offers, displaying the offered market price to a plurality of buyers, receiving from the plurality of buyers a plurality of conditional offers for purchases (COPs), and completing a plurality of sales transactions, if the combination of one or more of the plurality of COPs meets the combination of one or more of the required revenue values.

  • Publication number: 20110180515
Abstract: The invention relates to a quenching plate made of a matrix composite material, comprising a ferromagnetic phase in which a high temperature stable phase is embedded. Example of an embodiment: In order to produce the matrix composite material, 96 wt. % iron and 4 wt. % MgO are mixed. The powder mixture is pressed into green plates. The green plate are sintered and rolled into the desired thickness of 0.8 mm to 1.2 mm The rolling can be done in several rolling steps, between which the sinter plates are aged. After the last rolling step, the sinter plates are preferably aged once more. The plates produced of the matrix composite material in said way are then coated galvanically with a 5 to 10 micrometer thin electrically conductive layer, for example a copper layer.

  • Publication number: 20080135524
Abstract: The invention relates to a coated arc splitter made of a ferromagnetic material for use in an arcing chamber. The invention provides that the arc splitter has a layer made of a composite material consisting of at least two constituents of which the first constituent is electrically conductive, has a melting point which does not exceed that of the ferromagnetic material, and has a vaporization point which does not exceed that of the ferromagnetic material, and of which the second component has a melting point higher than that of the first constituent, and has a vaporization point higher than that of the first constituent.

  • Patent number: 5822674
Abstract: A material for electric contacts based on silver-tin oxide is obtained by mixing a powder of silver or an alloy mainly containing silver with a powder consisting mainly of tin oxide and 0.01 to 10 wt. % (in relation to the quantity of tin oxide) of an additive consisting of one or more compounds containing silver, oxygen and a metal from sub-groups II to VI of the periodic system and/or antimony, bismuth, germanium, indium and gallium, compacting the mixture and sintering it. The tin oxide may be replaced by zinc oxide.
