  • Publication number: 20240113974
Abstract: Mobile management method, system and client. Method includes receiving a DNS query for a host name from an application on client; retrieving reputation data associated with host name from a local cache on client; and determining a policy based on host name and the reputation data. Based on determined policy for the host name, blocking attempted network flows to a host corresponding to host name to produce blocked attempted network flows. Method also includes sending attempted network flow metadata related to the blocked attempted network flows to a collector on client; transmitting the attempted network flow metadata from the collector to a VPN server pool via a VPN tunnel; and producing an anomaly report from the transmitted attempted network flow metadata. The anomaly report includes at least one of anomalies, cohorts, trends, location boundaries, detected network security issues, detected compromised clients and/or optimized network usage.

  • Publication number: 20070220275
Abstract: A system and associated apparatus and methods for providing enhanced security for transactions conducted over a network, such as eCommerce or a financial transaction conducted over the Internet. The system strengthens the security processes (e.g., user registration, authentication, and transaction acceptance or authorization) that are part of such a transaction to provide additional security for transactions conducted over a network (e.g., the Internet). The invention includes the use of a first communication channel or mode (e.g, the Internet) for entering user data and a second communication channel or mode (e.g., a response entered on a personal phone or VoIP connection) as a supplementary method of verifying the user's identity. The supplementary method may involve placing a call to a fixed line or mobile phone and requesting the user to confirm their identity by entering a alphanumeric string, speaking a password, executing a function on the device, or another similar action.

  • Publication number: 20070220092
Abstract: A system and associated apparatus and methods for enabling members of a group or virtual community to create and access voice messages, audio, video, text or other content over the Internet. The invention provides a model of a voice bulletin board or forum in which multiple members of a group may create and post messages or other content that may be accessed, commented upon, or supplemented by other group members. The invention enables group members to input the message or content using a fixed-line (e.g., wireline) or wireless device, such as a standard phone, wireless mobile phone, or wirelessly connected computing device equipped with a microphone. The invention further enables a group member to create a forum and provide access to that forum to other group members, and to provide notifications to group members when new messages or content are posted to the forum.

  • Publication number: 20070066316
Abstract: A communications smart device that can be added to an existing network and immediately start monitoring the network for communication information. Each smart device includes at least one output means, such as a speaker or a display screen. When information destined for the smart device is recognized, the smart device extracts the communication information and outputs the communication information via the device's output means. Multiple smart devices with speakers can be added to a company's existing local area network to provide a multi-zone paging system for the company. Alternatively, multiple smart devices with LED display screens can be added to a city's existing traffic monitoring network to provide traffic information to commuters. A telephone can be used as the input device for voice and a laptop computer can be used to input text and video. The present networked smart devices do not require a server to operate as intended.

  • Publication number: 20050232252
Abstract: A communications system with distributed intelligence thereby allowing easy expansion of the system while also providing a high degree of fault tolerance. The communications system allows for conversion, transmission and restoration of the human voice over a digital network. A telephone can be used as the input device for receiving the analog signal, or human voice. The telephone is also used to select a destination for the analog signal. The information is transmitted over the digital network and may also traverse through a private branch exchange and a wireless network before it arrives at its destination. At the destination the transmitted information is restored to an analog signal and played over one or more speakers. The present system is especially suited for use with an existing network.

  • Patent number: 6628391
Abstract: A system for aligning a mask and a product with high precision, featuring a means for supporting a product in a fixed position and a mask adjacent to the product so that the mask is movable relative to the product. A plurality of computer controlled plungers push the surrounding mask frame into alignment. A computer is used to determine the relative position of the mask and the product prior to alignment; and that, to achieve proper alignment of the mask and the product, and determines the distance that the mask must be moved.

  • Publication number: 20010030747
Abstract: A system for aligning a mask and a product with high precision, featuring a means for supporting a product in a fixed position and a mask adjacent to the product so that the mask is movable relative to the product. The mask is surrounded by a rectangular mask frame. At least one movable first plunger presses against a first edge of the mask frame, while two movable second plungers press against a second edge of the mask frame, where the first and second edges are perpendicular. A first computer-controlled movable push plate is designed to push the mask frame against said at least one movable first plunger; pushing the mask frame in a first direction. Two second movable computer-controlled push plates are designed to move the mask frame in a second direction by pushing the mask frame against the two movable second plungers.
