  • Patent number: 10745229
Abstract: A method of converting a plurality of coreless roll products includes providing a first support structure and winding a paper product around the first support structure. The method also includes cutting through the paper product and the first support structure to form a plurality of cut portions of the paper product each wound around a cut portion of the first support structure. The method further includes removing the cut portion of the first support structure from each of the cut portions of the paper product to form a plurality of coreless roll products each comprising a center aperture. A method of preparing a coreless roll product for storage or shipment includes providing a coreless roll product comprising a center aperture and inserting a temporary support device into the center aperture of the coreless roll product.

  • Publication number: 20170274613
Abstract: Bags for containing various retail items, such as food items, and methods of forming the same. In some aspects, a bag having a top and bottom is provided. The bags can include a first layer and a second layer opposite the first layer and uniformly extending from the first layer. In some aspects, the bag can further include a first side seam between a side of the first layer and an opposing side of the second layer and a second side seam between a side of the second layer and an opposing side of the second layer. The first layer and the second layer each have an un-folded edge substantially parallel to the bottom fold. In some aspects, the bags include a bottom V-shaped fold extending along a transverse axis relative to the first side seam and the second side seam, the bottom V-shaped fold forming a seamless bottom.

  • Patent number: 7891158
Abstract: A case packing system concurrently accumulates a plurality of different product ensembles and sequentially packs cases thereof, generally by way of (a) concurrently accumulating a plurality of different product ensembles utilizing a plurality of product conveyer lines, each of which is adapted to separately convey distinct products to one or more transfer points; (b) sequentially transferring different accumulated product ensembles from the conveyer lines to a case-packer, the case-packer including a packing section as well as multiple magazines for receiving different case-blanks; (c) controlling transfer of the product ensembles to the case-packer and selection of the appropriate case-blank. Preferably, substantially continuous operation of the case-packer at a production rate higher than an accumulation rate of any individual product conveyer is maintained.
