Patent number: 5527804Abstract: Compounds which inhibit the enzyme cholesterol ester hydrolase (CEH) thus inhibit the formation of esterified cholesterol. Esterified cholesterol is absorbed through the intestine and inhibition of the enzyme therefore results in inhibition of cholesterol absorption.
