  • Publication number: 20190257120
Abstract: The disclosed lock enables the dome of a bulk vending machine to be secured and unlocked in fewer revolutions. The lock assembly is formed with a female thread at its end that uses multiple leads. The hopper rod of the machine is formed with the corresponding male threads matching the multiple leads of the lock assembly. The multiple leads engage sooner that the traditional single lead thread current in use. The multiple leads also reduce the repetitive motion fatigue that results from opening several machines.

  • Publication number: 20110056257
Abstract: This is a cam lock that has a spring loaded latching cam. The cam has a ramp that allows it to be moved by a blocked surface without the normal radial turning of the plug. The cam retracts in a lateral motion to clear and then pass behind the blocking surface. This way a cam lock can be pushed to closed position rather than rotated.

  • Publication number: 20100276421
Abstract: This is a casino table mounted device with the dual purpose of identifying the table and controlling access to the cash drop. The placard displays the table id number for security and floor personnel. The opening in the device is lockable in either the open or closed position to control access to the cash vault below the table during play and when the table is closed.

  • Publication number: 20100264178
Abstract: A parking payment holder device that is lockable to a parked vehicle so that evidence of proper payment is visible to parking enforcement personnel. The holder will have a center cavity with a minimum of one clear side, a through hole, and a locking means like cable lock or padlock to allow the holder to be secured to an open vehicle like a motorcycle or convertible.

  • Patent number: 7028517
Abstract: A core having a plurality of pin bores penetrating from the core surface to the keyway, and a plurality of activator pins and filler pins, such that the installer can locate one or more activator pins in any of the pin bores, and one or more filler pins in any of the remaining bores, to thereby define a code to be provided in the respective flank or flanks of an authorized key. Preferably at least three bores are provided on at least one side of the core; especially preferred are five pin bores on either side of the core fitted with a pattern of activator pins and filler pins, whereas a sixth pin bore on each side, closest to the back end of the core, is fitted with a blocking pin. In various embodiments, the present invention is directed to a programmable cylinder lock system, a programmable core for a cylinder lock, a core kit by which the installer can program the core in the field, and a novel key adapted to be used with the programmable core.

  • Patent number: 6983630
Abstract: A core having a plurality of cutouts penetrating from the core surface to the keyway, and a plurality of activator inserts and filler inserts, such that the installer can locate one or more activator inserts in any of the cutouts, and one or more filler inserts in any of the remaining cutouts, to thereby define a program or code to be provided in the respective flank or flanks of an authorized key. At least three and preferably at least five slotted cutouts are provided. The inserts are preferably in the form of generally semi-circular plates on at least one side of the core. In various embodiments, the present invention is directed to a programmable cylinder lock system, a programmable core for a cylinder lock, a core kit by which the installer can program the core in the field, and a novel key adapted to be used with the programmable core.

  • Publication number: 20040129044
Abstract: A cylinder lock device (10) for mounting to a security compartment (41), wherein the improvement comprises that the cylinder can be configured by the end user to permit opening of the compartment by at least two of the group of functional operations consisting of turnknob, mechanical key, and electronic key. The cylinder comprises a plug (11), a shell (12) surrounding the plug and defining a first shear line (36) therebetween, and a housing (17) surrounding the shell and defining a second shear line (35) therebetween. One configuration fixes the first shear line to prevent relative rotation between the plug and the shell while permitting rotation of the plug and shell together relative to the housing along the second shear line. Another configuration fixes the second shear line to prevent relative rotation between the shell and the housing while permitting rotation of the plug relative to the shell along the first shear line.

  • Patent number: 5771722
Abstract: A security system requires the bringing together, at the locking mechanism to be operated from a locked to an unlocked state, of a properly bitted mechanical key and the generator of a digitally coded electrical command signal. The electrical command signal is transmitted through the lock to an actuator so that the lock, when enabled by insertion of the mechanical key, may be operated. The key may define a portion of the signal transmission path between the command signal generator and the actuator.

  • Patent number: 5724840
Abstract: A removable lock for selectively blocking an aperture in a plate-like member includes a stepped housing which receives a cylinder lock. A rotatable blade, operated by the cylinder lock, is spaced from a shoulder defined by the stopped housing to define a single slot for receiving the plate-like member in the unlocked state of the lock. Rotation of the blade to the locked position results in establishment of a pair of diametrically opposed plate-like member receiving slots.

  • Patent number: 5718136
Abstract: A rekeyable look includes at least one chamber housing a tumbler pin stack having a master pin disposed between the driver pin and the bottom pin. The bitting of a change code key inserted in the keyway displaces the tumbler pin stack containing the master pin such that the interface between the master pin and the bottom pin is placed on the shear line defined by the cylinder shell and plug. Rotation of the change code key aligns a first slot on the change code key with the master pin wherein the master pin is received by the first slot. The master pin is carried with the change code key on removal of the key from the keyway. A replacement master pin disposed in the first slot is inserted into the keyway with the change code key. Rotation of the change code key aligns the replacement master pin with the drive pin.

  • Patent number: 5630332
Abstract: A lock, particularly well suited for installation in the T-handle of a vending machine or the like, which acts as a spring latch during opening and as a deadbolt in the locked position. The lock has a cylinder with a rotatable plug supporting a drive pin, the drive pin being parallel to and offset from the axis of plug rotation. The drive pin engages a ramped guide groove in a spring biased bolt, the guide groove being configured to return the drive pin to a position where it is in registration with, but displaced from, its starting position after a complete rotation of the plug.
