Patent number: 9770323Abstract: Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction methods and devices are designed to achieve an anatomically accurate double bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction by using a single femoral and tibial tunnel. The method and devices reconstruct the two bundles of the anterior cruciate ligament in a single femoral and tibial tunnel using a bone-patellar tendon-bone graft. The methods and devices enable an accurate anatomical reconstruction of the anteromedial and posterolateral bundles by creating a single femoral and tibial tunnel as opposed to creating two tunnels in the tibia and femur.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2015Date of Patent: September 26, 2017Assignee: The General Hospital CorporationInventors: Hemanth R. Gadikota, Thomas J. Gill, Guoan Li

Patent number: 9724188Abstract: Systems and methods for ligament reconstruction provides an implant configured to position ligaments in the anatomic positions to thereby to restore the native anatomy and function of the reconstructed area. The implant includes a sheath, a first ledge, a second ledge, a first anchor and a second anchor. The sheath has an exterior surface and an interior surface, wherein the interior surface of the sheath forms a lumen configured to receive a sheath expander. The first ledge and the second are configured to separate the ligaments and acts as an anchor for the sheath in the bone tunnel. The first anchor and the second anchor are configured to engage the ligaments and be expandable outwards away from the lumen to provide fixation in a bone tunnel. When the implant receives the sheath expander, the ligaments can be separated, positioned, and secured in the bone tunnel.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2011Date of Patent: August 8, 2017Assignee: The General Hospital CorporationInventors: Guoan Li, Hemanth R. Gadikota, Thomas J. Gill

Patent number: 4373909Abstract: A port assembly for delivering fluid through a shell of a rotary kiln is disclosed with structures for screening and excluding particulate matter from the port during operation of the kiln. The port assembly comprises a cylindrical nozzle defining a nozzle orifice to deliver fluid to the interior of a kiln. A base member secured to one side of the nozzle is provided with a platform extending partly through the nozzle orifice and cooperates with the nozzle to define an annular chamber. Facing surfaces of the base member and nozzle define a fluid distribution cavity for providing fluid to the annular chamber for ultimate distribution into the kiln. An annular shoulder surrounding the platform within the fluid distribution cavity cooperates with a facing surface of the nozzle to define a particle barrier gap.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 1981Date of Patent: February 15, 1983Assignee: Allis-Chalmers CorporationInventors: Peter J.
