Abstract: A format for presenting a story includes page stations which contain first and second narratives, the second narrative being written at a higher reading level than the first narrative. Both narratives convey the same thought but do so using different words, phases, concepts, and/or sentence structure. The page also contains an image which depicts the contents of the two narratives. The image connects the two narratives, and can therefore be used as a key to decode unknown words and phrases in the narratives.
