  • Publication number: 20170313114
Abstract: A system for scoring a curved surface of a manufactured product is provided. The system includes: a controller unit for analyzing a digital image to be printed to the curved surface of the manufactured product; and an ink-jet printer in communication with the controller unit and including a printhead including one or more fluid reservoirs, each of which includes a curable solution, for applying the curable solution to the curved surface in a pattern directed by the controller unit and based on the digital image. The system also includes: a radiation generator in communication with the controller unit which applies radiation to the curved surface to cure the curable solution applied by the ink-jet printer; and a fluid pressurizer in communication with the controller unit for providing a pressurized fluid stream to the curved surface.

  • Patent number: 9790656
Abstract: A concrete pile cutting assembly configured for cutting a concrete pile includes a cutting saw portion supported on a collar portion. The collar portion securely engages the concrete pile and mounts the cutting saw portion adjacent the concrete pile at a desired height such that a cutting blade of the cutting saw portion cuts, or severs, the concrete pile at the desired height. The collar portion includes a plurality of collar elements each having a beam, a connecting flange, and a locking fastener. The locking fastener of a first beam engages with a corresponding beam opening of a second beam to connect adjacent collar elements together. Each beam has at least one mounting cylinder and the cutting saw portion includes a post for engaging with one of the mounting cylinders provided on the beams to mount the cutting saw portion onto the collar portion.

  • Patent number: 9751350
Abstract: A method for scoring and, optionally, for applying a pigment solution to a substrate is provided herein. The method includes the steps of: providing a substrate; applying a curable solution to the substrate with a digital ink jet printer; curing the applied curable solution to form a cured region; and applying a fluid for eroding the substrate to at least a portion of the substrate including the cured region. The fluid for eroding the substrate effectively removes portions of the substrate, which are not covered by the cured region, to form an eroded region of the substrate. In certain embodiments, a plurality of pigment solutions are then applied to at least a portion of the eroded region of the substrate with the digital ink-jet printer to form embellishments, decorative features, or designs in the eroded regions of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 4534738
Abstract: This invention is a tug type vessel which can be operated in shallow as well as deep water, is relatively powerful compared to its overall length, and is versatile in that additional drive units can be added as required to form an integral propulsion system. This is accomplished through the use of a plurality of floats interconnected with pivotable power units supported therebetween.
