Abstract: A method of controlling a motor may include controllably operating a motor with a desired input command to attain a desired output response of the motor, monitoring an output of the motor, and determining a difference between the monitored output and the desired input command. The method may further include establishing a deadband around the difference and determining a torque command based on a relationship between the difference and the deadband.

Abstract: A system for propelling a marine vessel having a hull. The propulsion system including a first propeller assembly positioned to extend from the hull and along starboard side of the vessel, the first propeller assembly including a propeller positioned outside the hull and a second propeller assembly positioned to extend from the hull and along a port side of the vessel, the second propeller assembly including a propeller positioned outside the hull. An engine is mounted within the hull and connected to both the first and second propeller assemblies for imparting rotation to both the first and second propellers. The engine is connected to the first propeller assembly by a first rotating unit connected between the engine and first propeller assembly for rotating the first propeller. The engine is connected to the second propeller assembly by a second rotating unit connected between the engine and second propeller assembly for rotating the second propeller.

Abstract: A decompression panel assembly for use in a partition of an aircraft is disclosed. The decompression panel assembly includes a panel member that fits over a decompression vent opening in a partition. The panel member includes multiple holes. The same number of cover plates are positioned to cover the holes and are held in place by retainer elements. The retainer elements are made from a thin gauged metal material and secure the cover plates over the holes. Several retaining spring clips are positioned about the perimeter of the panel member and secure the decompression panel assembly against the partition to cover the decompression vent opening.
