  • Patent number: 10286295
Abstract: The present invention is a lottery ticket scratching tool for scraping off the lottery tickets. The lottery ticket scratching tool includes a main body having an electric motor to generate vacuum therein. The lottery ticket scratching tool also includes a scraping blade provided at one end of the main body. As the scraping blade is used to scrape the lottery ticket, the resulting scraped off debris material is sucked into the main body to be discarded later. The lottery ticket scratching tool includes a fine mesh to prevent debris material from impinging on the electric motor, and also a one-way valve to keep the collected debris material within the main body. The lottery ticket scratching tool is battery operated to be portable and for easier handling thereof.

  • Patent number: 4674397
Abstract: The fluid-powered, reciprocating motor includes a cylinder having an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber, a differential area piston mounted in the cylinder, and an output or power shaft connected to the piston. A pressurized fluid, either a gas or a liquid, is continuously introduced into the cylinder inlet chamber and acts on the smaller piston area to move the piston in one direction. A small stream of the fluid flows from the cylinder inlet chamber into the cylinder outlet chamber through a control passage in the piston and is exhausted from the cylinder outlet chamber through an outlet passage until the piston is moved far enough for a valve member carried by the piston to close the outlet passage. Fluid pressure subsequently building up in the cylinder outlet chamber acts on the larger piston area and moves the piston in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 4610429
Abstract: A plumbing connection is disclosed to connect a supply conduit to a faucet. A supply conduit has a main cylindrical body portion with an expanded, end portion. The supply conduit is received in a valve mounting body having a commensurate throughbore and counterbore which are adapted to respectively engage in slidable contact the cylindrical main body portion of the supply conduit and the expanded end portion of the supply conduit. A resilient seal member with projections having throughbores is received in wedged contact within the expanded end portion of the supply conduit. A valve is removably secured to the valve mounting body and in contact with and in communication with the throughbores of the supply conduit and the seal member.

  • Patent number: 4592388
Abstract: A connector assembly for connecting a faucet body to a swivel spout. The connector assembly comprises a spout hub fixedly attached to the spout, a spout socket fixedly connected to the faucet body and rotatably received within a through passageway in the spout socket, and a resilient flexible lock ring disposed between the spout hub and spout socket. The lock ring integrally comprises a collar extending at least partially around the spout hub and a pin projecting outwardly from the collar. The lock ring collar is normally inwardly flexed and urges against the interior of the spout socket. The spout socket is provided with a side opening which receives the lock ring pin under urging from the collar. Interference contact between the spout socket and the pin within the side opening serves to limit longitudinal movement of the spout hub inside the spout socket.

  • Patent number: 4493343
Abstract: A single lever faucet assembly having a faucet control lever which is reversibly mountable laterally on either side of the faucet spout without having to switch positioning of the hot and cold water supply lines thereto. The faucet assembly includes a valve cartridge which may be easily disconnected from the faucet control lever and removed from the faucet base for replacement. The valve cartridge is arranged and disposed to provide a straight through flow path from the hot and cold water supply lines to the faucet spout which is free of any obstructions, thereby maximizing outlet flow rates. The faucet assembly further includes a means for independently controlling discharge temperature and flow rate by separate-patterned movement of the faucet control lever so as to provide uniform temperature regulation at any flow rate.

  • Patent number: 4463460
Abstract: A Roman tub fixture assembly for mounting a spout to the exposed spout side of a wall or deck having an exposed spout side and an opposite facing hidden side includes a receiver body which is adapted to couple to one or more water pipes located on the hidden side of the wall or deck. A flanged nut is threadably received over the body in order to mount the body within an opening in walls or decks of different thicknesses. A spout hub having a shank portion and a shoulder portion is threadably received along the shank portion within a passageway in the receiver body. The shank portion includes two cylindrically shaped sections which have different diameters, the larger diameter section having external threads and the smaller diameter section having sealing means in order to seal the space between the body and the hub at a location upstream from the threaded portion of the body passageway.

  • Patent number: 4239182
Abstract: A valve assembly for use in building water systems where hot and cold water supply line pressures vary, and having separate valve means for regulating the hot and cold water pressures. Independently mounted pressure equalizing means operated by the supply water pressures are connected to operate each of the valve means responsive to any pressure differential caused by changes in the supply pressures, to change the water pressure regulated by each of the valve means, with the magnitude and sense of the change reducing any such differential to zero and equalizing the pressures. The separate valve means are actuated by diaphragm assemblies forming a pair of movable walls mounted in a cartridge each one separating one water chamber from an associated hydraulic fluid chamber. Each diaphragm movable wall assembly includes a nonperforated diaphragm clamped between elements and held at its periphery in the cartridge to form a movable wall.

  • Patent number: 4027888
Abstract: The seating device has an elongated sack-like cover of a flexible material, such as an upholstery fabric, forming a cavity which is loosely filled with a freely flowable filler material, such as small spherical beads of expanded polystyrene. The cover includes a pair of generally vertical, opposed side panels, each of which has enlarged curvate end portions and a constricted intermediate portion, and an elongated center panel which is joined at its opposed longitudinal sides to the perimeter of the side panels to form a longitudinal, body supporting, upper surface having a generally convex enlarged end area adapted to serve as a backrest, another generally convex enlarged end area adapted to serve as a leg rest and a generally concave intermediate area adapted to support the derriere of the occupant.
