  • Patent number: 9335333
Abstract: A test tape cassette is disclosed that includes a cassette housing and an analytical test tape. The test tape includes a plurality of analytical test elements, a spreading fabric for applying a body fluid, and an underlying reagent layer for detecting an analyte in the body fluid. The cassette housing has an application tip that has a guide path extending longitudinally to the test tape in an arched-shape and is uncurved at right angles thereto for supporting the test tape in a kink-free manner. The guide path has an apex area with a central opening that delimits a measuring window for an optical measurement on the test elements.

  • Patent number: 9095847
Abstract: There is disclosed a tape cassette having a reeled-up carrier tape that carries at least one type of functional elements, namely test elements and/or puncturing elements, that are arranged at a distance from each other in a tape direction. The distances in the tape direction from a functional element to the next functional element of the same type change periodically in space at a period P. Moreover, there is disclosed a method for manufacture of a tape cassette of this type.

  • Publication number: 20140197599
Abstract: A sealing arrangement includes a double seal for sealing two chambers which are to be sealed off from one another and are each filled with a medium to be sealed. The double seal includes a first sealing ring disposed on a first side of the double seal and a second sealing ring disposed on a second side of the double seal. Each of the sealing rings has at least one dynamically stressed sealing lip contacting a surface to be sealed of a first machine element in a sealing manner. The sealing lips are arranged such that there is an axial distance between the sealing lips of the first and second sealing rings that are axially closest to one another. The first machine element is movable backwards and forwards in a translatory manner with a stroke. The axial distance is greater than the stroke.

  • Patent number: 8404478
Abstract: A diagnostic test tape for liquid samples is provided comprising a flexible transport tape and a plurality of test fields applied to the transport tape that are distributed in the longitudinal direction of the tape, where said test fields comprise a detection layer and a spreading net spanning the detection layer for a planar uptake of liquid sample, wherein the spreading net is formed from a lattice-like fabric comprising fabric threads that cross at right angles. In order to prevent the fabric from arching up under tape tension it is proposed that the fabric is oriented obliquely to the transport tape such that all fabric threads run obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the tape.

  • Patent number: 6623697
Abstract: Analysis device for analyzing samples, in particular of body liquids, with respect to components contained therein. It comprises a plurality of liquid handling (LH) stations. At at least a part of the LH stations there is a production of liquid waste whereby said LH-station form liquid waste sources. The liquid waste is evacuated, with at least one pump, from the liquid waste sources, with different proportions of air, via a liquid waste conducting system, into a liquid waste container. A substantial reduction of foam production is obtained by connecting at least two liquid waste sources to the liquid waste container via at least two liquid waste lines leading separately into the liquid waste container, whereas liquid waste sources with a higher average air proportion are connected to a first liquid waste line and liquid waste sources with a lower average air proportion are connected to a second liquid waste line.
