  • Patent number: 10520047
Abstract: A method for controlling a pneumatic actuator (1) of a transmission having at least one sealing element (6, 7), arranged between two elements (2, 3) of the clutch actuator (1) that move relative to one another, and within a specifiable operating temperature range in which leakproofness of the clutch actuator (1) is ensured. The clutch actuator (1) is acted upon with compressed air from an air supply system for actuating a shifting and/or starting clutch arranged between a drive aggregate and a transmission. In order to warm up the clutch actuator (1), if a temperature of the clutch actuator (1) is lower then a glass transition temperature of the at least one sealing element (6, 7), the drive aggregate is operated at a higher rotational speed compared to the idling speed of the drive aggregate.

Abstract: A method for controlling a pneumatic actuator (1) of a transmission having at least one sealing element (6, 7) that is arranged between two elements (2, 3) of the actuator (1) that move relative to one another, and within a specifiable operating temperature range in which a leakproofness of the actuator (1) is ensured. • Patent number: 10317875
Abstract: An embodiment includes a method of monitoring a fluid pump that includes receiving time domain measurement data indicating vibrations occurring in a fluid pump, and filtering the measurement data to remove measurement data components having frequencies below a threshold frequency, the removed measurement data components associated with cyclical motions of the fluid pump. The method also includes dividing the filtered measurement data into a plurality of subsets, each subset corresponding to a pump cycle, and estimating a peak count for each subset, the peak count being a number of peaks having an amplitude that exceeds a selected amplitude threshold, the amplitude threshold associated with impacts between internal components of the pump. The method further includes comparing the peak count with an expected peak count, and determining whether the pump is in a condition selected from at least one of a wear condition and a failure condition based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20190061762
Abstract: A method for controlling a creep mode of a motor vehicle with a drive train having a drive unit (1), a transmission (2) and a friction clutch (4) which is disposed between the drive unit (1) and the transmission (2). A creep function for controlling the creep mode may be activated if the drive unit (1) is operating, if a suitable gear is selected in transmission (2) and if an accelerator pedal (14) is not depressed. The creep function is activated at a depressed brake pedal (15) if a current brake pedal position or a current brake pressure respectively reaches or is less than a predetermined motion-resistance-dependent threshold value of the brake pedal position or the brake pressure, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20190010442
Abstract: A laboratory container, in particular a cell culture container, includes a container volume which is surrounded by a container body and which can be accessed from the outside through a container opening of the container body. The container has a fluid line which communicates with the container volume and which comprises a valve arrangement. The fluid line is designed to conduct fluid in order to discharge and/or introduce fluid out of and/or into the container volume. The fluid line can be selectively released in order to conduct a fluid or blocked by the valve arrangement, and the container additionally has a gas balancing opening, through which gas can be introduced into or discharged out of the container volume in counterflow to a possible fluid flow in the fluid line. The gas compensating opening is surrounded by a channel wall, said line channel running from the gas balancing opening into the container volume and opening into said container volume.

  • Publication number: 20180307322
Abstract: A system and method uses multiple devices in concert as security for accessing an account. The system and method may use one or more security measures based on unique gestures, coordinated gestures between two devices, presence of multiple devices, sequence of actions, and other measures to prevent fraud. • Patent number: 9875166
Abstract: A method for operating a data processing unit of a driver assistance system, the unit including main and slave computers. The main computer ascertains surroundings data from a surroundings detection system by using a processing specification. The slave computer operates a communication interface of the data processing unit, using a communication instruction. The method includes initializing, a first testing, a carrying out, a second testing and a forwarding. In initializing, the main computer, in response to a signal, is initialized by performing an initialization instruction on the main computer. In the first testing, the slave computer, in response to the signal, is initialized by performing a self-test instruction on the slave computer. In the carrying out, the communication instruction is performed on the slave computer to send and/or receive data via the communication interface, when the slave computer is tested and while the main computer is initialized.

  • Publication number: 20170352020
Abstract: Various systems, mediums, and methods may involve a bridge configured to communicate with a number of sites, such as fuel sites and/or restaurant sites. For example, a system may determine a mobile device is associated with a given fuel site, possibly located at the given fuel site, among a number of other fuel sites. Further, the system may determine one or more connections of the bridge that may be configured to communicate with a site component of the fuel site. As such, the system may transmit fuel data to the mobile device based on the one or more connections with the site component. Thus, the mobile device may display an indication of fuel available at the fuel site.

  • Patent number: 9714703
Abstract: A method of controlling an automated transmission with positioning cylinders (6, 8, 20) controlled by shift valves or venting valves (10, 12, 16, 18, 22, 24). At least one cut-off valve (4) is positioned in front of the shift or venting valves and a control device controls the valves while pressure pipes, which follow the cut-off valve (4), are connected with one another following the cut-off valve (4). Due to the fact that the cut-off valve (4), for reasons of design simplicity and cost, is generally designed as a simple 2/2 way valve which only allows pressure increase but not pressure reduction, the method provides control of the shift valves or ventilation or venting valves (16, 18), of a non activated positioning cylinder (8), so that the pressure pipe system is connected with an outflow pipe (14) for a pressure reduction in the pressure pipe system (30, 32, 34).

  • Patent number: 9481345
Abstract: A control device for a motor vehicle such that during a driving direction change from an original direction and/or during a starting process and/or during a stopping process and/or during a rolling process, in order to assist with the driving direction change and/or starting process and/or stopping process and/or rolling process, an appropriate control signal is provided by the control device to automatically activate a service brake. The control device automatically determines the friction energy produced at a starting clutch, during the driving direction change and/or starting process and/or stopping process and/or rolling process, without activation of the service brake. The control device only automatically activates the service brake, to assist with the driving direction change and/or starting process and/or stopping process and/or rolling process, if the determined friction energy exceeds a limit value.
