  • Patent number: 10563711
Abstract: A method for operating a dual-clutch transmission with two clutches. During realization of a ratio, a first clutch is closed and a second clutch is open. During a ratio change, the first clutch is opened and the second clutch is closed. During a ratio change within short operating times, a target actuating pressure of the clutch for engagement is set to a fast-charging pressure level and subsequently adjusted to a closing pressure level, while a target actuating pressure of the clutch for disengagement is adjusted to an opening pressure level before setting the closing pressure level of the clutch for engagement. At least during a ratio change, an actual actuating pressure of the clutch for engagement is monitored and the target actuating pressure of the clutch for disengagement is adjusted to the opening pressure level if the actual actuating pressure of the clutch for engagement exceeds a pressure threshold.

  • Patent number: 10549462
Abstract: A method of forming an integral manifold adjacent a cell stack of a flowing electrolyte battery enables improved bonding of a molten material to the battery cell stack. The method includes defining a mould cavity adjacent the cell stack, with the mould cavity open to capillary openings of half cells of the cell stack; locating a plurality of pins in the mould cavity, with end regions of the pins being contiguous with the capillary openings; preheating the mould cavity by passing a fluid into a first end of the mould cavity and out of a second end of the mould cavity; and filling the mould cavity with molten material.

  • Patent number: 10053098
Abstract: A method for disengaging a parking lock of a dual-clutch transmission of a motor vehicle with at least one drive unit is provided. The method includes, upon detection of an absolute value of a road inclination along a longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle exceeding a predetermined threshold and upon actuation of a selector lever for disengaging the parking lock prior to disengagement of the parking lock, issuing a torque request to the drive unit and closing a power-shifting clutch of the dual-clutch transmission with an engaged gear in a sub-transmission to which the power-shifting clutch is allocated. A torque transferred by the power-shifting clutch as a consequence of closing the power-shifting clutch and the torque request to the drive unit is a relief torque. The torque request to the drive unit and the closed power-shifting clutch are selected to counteract a torque, supported by a parking lock pawl, applying with an engaged parking lock by drive wheels on an output side at the transmission.

  • Patent number: 9899689
Abstract: An electrode plate, method for manufacturing an electrode plate, and method of testing an electrode plate enable efficient production of robust flowing electrolyte batteries. The method of testing an electrode plate includes forming a frangible portion in the electrode plate; providing a seal around a periphery of the electrode plate, wherein the periphery extends across the frangible portion; applying a gas adjacent a surface on a first side of the electrode plate; and detecting whether there is a presence of the gas adjacent a surface on a second side of the electrode plate, if the electrode plate passes testing, the frangible portion is removed from the electrode plate to define a cut-away region. The electrode plate is then positioned in a battery cell stack including a plurality of other electrode plates. A manifold is then attached to the cell stack adjacent the cut-away region of the electrode plate.

  • Patent number: 9747560
Abstract: A system and method of combining independent demand forecast streams. Demand data is extracted from each of the demand forecast streams. The extracted data is combined based on one or more criteria to yield a single resultant demand data set. The resultant demand data set is released for supply network planning rather than any original forecast data stream.

  • Publication number: 20150179169
Abstract: A system is described for improving results of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) systems. ASR's typically match patterns of incoming sounds to phonemes associated with sounds in a specified language, then associates phonemes with words. ASR's typically consider combinations of up to three phonemes and up to three words. The limitation to small combinations of phonemes and words is one source of errors in ASR's. The invention described here post processes the output from ASR's. In one embodiment, the method forms long combinations of phonemes and words to improve ASR results. In another embodiment, the method detects errors by finding inconsistencies in the ASR's output and then corrects these errors. Other embodiments correct errors that are phonetically close to the correct words, determines the right list of words from a large expected list of sentences, and further improves recognition where word errors are phonetically close to the correct words.

  • Patent number: 9009110
Abstract: A view object is generated in a target deployment unit in a design time environment of a metadata repository. The view object is modeled on a business object of a source deployment unit. The source deployment unit includes process components of a business application that is physically decoupled from the target deployment unit. A subset of attributes of the business object of the source deployment unit is selected. The subset of attributes includes at least an outbound agent and an inbound agent implemented by a generic messaging framework. The view object is modeled in the target deployment unit with the subset of attributes of the business object. The inbound agent of the view object is configured for receiving a replication message from the outbound agent of the business object, and the replication message includes replication data for configuring the view object only with data from the business object.
