  • Patent number: 12626482
Abstract: A vehicle speed and/or slip of a vehicle is determined. At least first and second images of a traveling surface captured by an image sensor using an optical lens are received by a processor. The images are used to determine the distance travelled by one or more pixels in first and second directions. These distances, along with the sampling rate of the image sensor, determine pixel speed in the first and second directions. The pixel speeds in the first direction, the second direction, or both, may be used to calculate the vehicle speed, a side slip angle, or a longitudinal slip. A tire speed may also be similarly determined using a second image sensor, a second optical lens, and a second processor capturing images of the tire surface. These vehicle parameters may be used for testing or operating the vehicle, including modifying vehicle behavior during operation.

  • Publication number: 20260091289
Abstract: Examples relate to golf assistance systems for providing environmentally-adjusted club recommendations during golf play. An example system includes a communication-enabled laser range finder with distance measurement circuitry, wireless communication circuitry, wind direction input controls, and a display interface. A networked processing device comprises a processor and memory configured to execute software storing golfer-specific shot performance data normalized to baseline atmospheric conditions. The networked processing device establishes wireless communication with the communication-enabled laser range finder to receive target distance and slope measurements, obtains real-time atmospheric data including air density, temperature, humidity, and wind conditions, and calculates effective shot distances for multiple golf clubs by processing the atmospheric data with the golfer-specific shot performance data.

  • Publication number: 20250029188
Abstract: According to one aspect of the invention, a dynamic, computer enabled, transformative process includes a plurality of steps, wherein raw data is first detected, flattened, transformed, and mapped to a new set of headers and/or reordered as needed to facilitate a wide variety of survey export formats uploadable to products useful by clients using associated software. According to other aspects, the file detection process automates a historic process of opening files and looking at certain attributes of the file format to confirm that the file is a certain survey from a publisher and handled appropriately after the metadata information is detected from the raw file. File formats are detected using a combination of file attributes and pattern recognition; for example, filenames, the number of sheets in a workbook, and the number of words in workbook might be appropriate file attributes in a particular application.

  • Publication number: 20240417653
Abstract: The present disclosure provides cleaning articles. The articles can be formed of two outer layers separated by an intermediate layer that can comprise one or more independent and separate compositions. The outer layers can be formed of a solid foam and can particularly be configured to allow access of the surrounding environment to the intermediate layer compositions. The outer layers can provide rapid infiltration of water to facilitate diffusion of the intermediate layer compositions through the outer layers, and dissolution of the outer layers and the intermediate layer(s).

  • Publication number: 20240377177
Abstract: A measurement tool with keyed gauges or fingers that mitigates process reliability concerns. A holder or disc is used for a task or tasks associated with a given shop or process that utilizes gauges or fingers that are keyed and also color-coded, labeled, or otherwise differentiated such that only the proper gauges or fingers among similar gauges or fingers can actually be received in that holder or disc for that shop or process. Accordingly, if a user has the correct holder or disc for a shop or process, only the proper gauges or fingers can be used. For each shop or process, measurement process instructions or steps can also be provided for each task associated with a holder or disc and the associated keyed gauges or fingers by color-coding, labeling, or differentiation correspondence.

  • Publication number: 20230174047
Abstract: An engine control unit (400) for a full hybrid engine (100, 101) is provided. The full hybrid engine (100, 101) comprises an internal combustion engine (110) and an electric motor (120). The internal combustion engine (110) is coupled to the drivetrain via a clutch (130). The engine control unit (400) is configured to operate the internal combustion engine (110) in a lean-burn mode, to determine a current load level of the full hybrid engine (100, 101), and to compare the current load level to a lean-burn load threshold (210). The lean-burn load threshold (210) defines a load level below which stable operation of the internal combustion engine (110) in the lean-burn mode is impossible and/or undesirable. If the current load level of the full hybrid engine (100, 101) is below the lean-burn load threshold (210), the internal combustion engine (110) is decoupled from the drivetrain and the full hybrid engine (100, 101) is operated in an electric mode.

  • Patent number: 11219807
Abstract: A sports training assembly includes a plurality of remote targets. Each of the remote targets is positionable on a training field and each of the remote targets respectively emits a visual alert when the respective remote target is turned on. In this way the respective remote target is established as the desired target for the athlete to strike. A base target is positionable on the training field and the base target emits a visual alert when the base target is turned on thereby establishing the base target as the desired target for the athlete to strike. Moreover, the base target is in electrical communication with each of the remote targets and the base target turns on each of the remote targets in a random sequence. A plurality of balls is provided and each of the base and remote targets is mounted on a respective one of the balls. Moreover, each of the balls is biased to vertically orient the remote and base targets for striking.
