This novel tool and method, when applied to a trade such as drywall finishing, reduces labor time, skill level required, and material consumption to complete the task. The tool and method are generally useful for providing tapered compound and are particularly adapted for the finishing of inside corners, butted seams, and wall hole repairs when tapering of the finishing compound is required.
