  • Publication number: 20220324504
Abstract: A steering column with a switch module at least partially surrounding the steering column. The switch module includes at least one actuating lever for activating at least one function. A mechanical interface for attaching at least one bracket for an object is provided in the area of the switch module. The interface is configured as a separate component mounted on the switch module.

  • Patent number: 7872569
Abstract: A built-in instrument cluster for a motor vehicle includes at least one display device, which emits image-forming light and is arranged in the direct field of view of an observer, and at least one illuminated and/or self-illuminating electromechanical indicator device, which is arranged in the observer's field of view, at an angle to the display device, and is moved into the observer's field of view together with the display device via an optical combiner, which is arranged to reflect the image-forming light of the electromechanical indicator device. In order to be able to integrate such an instrument cluster into the tight spatial conditions in the instrument panel in the steering-column region, it is provided that the electromechanical indicator device is at least partially provided by light guides and/or light projectors to save depth at abutting vehicle components.

  • Patent number: 7602352
Abstract: A flush-fitted instrument cluster for a motor vehicle includes a first display device, a second display device, and a reflecting optical combination device. The first display device (2) displays a first image located in a direct field of vision (3) of a viewer. The first image includes a background surface area (2c). The second display device (4; 40, 41) is arranged at an angle to the first display device (2) and displays a second image including a background surface area (40a, 42a; 41a, 43a). The reflecting optical combination device (5) selectively displays the second image in the field of vision (3) of the viewer with the first image. The first image and the second image are not completely overlapping in the field of vision (3) of the viewer to form an overlapping surface area (40a, 41a) and non-overlapping surface area (42a, 43a).
