Publication number: 20250147861Abstract: Generating fault indications for an additive manufacturing machine based on a comparison of the outputs of multiple process models to measured sensor data. The method includes receiving sensor data from the additive manufacturing machine during manufacture of at least one part. Models are selected from a model database, each model generating expected sensor values for a defined condition. Difference values are computed between the received sensor data and an output of each of the models. A probability density function is computed, which defines, for each of the models, a likelihood that a given difference value corresponds to each respective model. A probabilistic rule is applied to determine, for each of the models, a probability that the corresponding model output matches the received sensor data. An indicator is output of a defined condition corresponding to a model having the highest match probability.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2025Publication date: May 8, 2025Inventors: Harry Kirk Mathews, JR., Sarah Felix, Subhrajit Roychowdhury, Saikat Ray Majumder, Thomas Spears

Patent number: 12252992Abstract: A passive clearance control limits thermal expansion between stator components relative to rotor components. A control ring controls clearance in a passive manner and is located on or adjacent to stationary components which thermally expand during engine operation. The control ring is formed of material having low coefficient of thermal expansion such as CMCs (Ceramic Matrix Composites) and therefore limits, inhibits or restrains expansion of the adjacent stator components as temperatures increase. Limiting expansion of the stator component reduces rotor/stator clearances and limits parasitic leakage of fluid along the flow path through the engine core.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2024Date of Patent: March 18, 2025Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: Bhaskar Nanda Mondal, John Joseph Rahaim, Thomas Moniz, Steven A. Patent number: 11784877Abstract: An intelligent agent monitors operation of at least one software virtualized network (VN). Context information associated with the VN is used to analyze a state of the VN. At least one configuration change is caused to the VN in response to analysis of the state of the VN. A change is identified to the state of the VN caused by the configuration change. A determination is made as to whether or not the change to the state of the VN is an improvement to operation of the VN. A response to the determination is made by causing at least one other configuration change to the VN.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2023Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: David Gibbon, Thomas Kirk, Behzad Shahraray, John Murray, Mazin Gilbert

Patent number: 11615425Abstract: A cloud services composition system allows customers to interactively create service constructs from network function virtualization resources. The network function virtualization primitives are modeled using a standard modeling language. An expert system suggests network function virtualization resources for use in the service construct, based on an expert system learning algorithm. The customer uses a graphical user interface to interconnect the resources and create the service construct. The process may involve collaboration with the network provider. The resulting construct is validated for use in a communications network.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2021Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Rittwik Jana, Thomas Kirk, Syed Anwar Aftab, John F.
